A Classroom Library With LGBTQ+ Books
Funded Feb 23, 2024Thank you for the LGBTQ+ classroom library, it is a well appreciated support. All students have access to this library. All students know they are available. Many students have picked up the books and read from them. A handful of student checked out the books to read at home during break. Most important many students have felt seen. Students know this classroom is a safe place for all where everyone is treated equally. The books are a great resource for myself and students. One student exclaim, "I had no idea all this existed about the LGBTQ+ community."
Thank you.”

Technology Is Fun! But Pencil and Paper Is Needed Also!
Funded Dec 15, 2022Thank you! My students have been able to work on paper now. Since the pandemic everything has been on the chromebook. It is nice for them to have a copy in front of them and be able to just use that pencil and use the illustrations on paper. It has been really helpful especially in Geometry because drawing and seeing drawings is essential.
My students have also been able to print out assignments for other classes because the printers they have access to are always down or getting worked. Making last minute needed adjustment to a lesson is easier now that I have a printer. I just want to say thank you, thank you for making a difference in my classroom.”

Technology in a Math Classroom
Funded Nov 10, 2021Going back to the actual classroom has been made easier due to your generosity. My students have been able to use more technology than before. We have been able to discuss math topics shared on screen and have been able to give notes using the projector.
I can know walk around with the Surface Pro and answer student questions or just have them explain what we cover. They have been able to have group discussions with the projected work.
Having this device I was able to let student borrow my other device when theirs was not working or unavailable.
Thank you for your generosity.”

Funded Oct 23, 2020I am very grateful for the support that is given to my classroom. The new touch screen laptop has helped me create many lessons for my students. I no longer get kicked out the zoom meeting because the old laptop would have to reset. My students are able to hear and see me better and I am able to hear and see them better.
Having this laptop has really helped me used the different platforms available to lesson plan and teach. And because this laptop is touch screen I can share documents and write on them as I teach. It has made teaching more effective! My students like the faster speed and how much easier it is for me to respond to their questions. We don't know how long virtual learning will take place however I do know that with the correct equipment they can have more access to a better education.”

Funded Sep 17, 2020Thank you for your great support. Having an IPAD and an IPAD pencil has made a great impact in my classroom. Teaching math requires writing problem down and brainstorming with the classroom. Things have to be written to get a visual. I am now able to teach and write as I go. I am able to screenshot student answers and look through problems, write and share with the class.
Our books have been IPAD friendly so I can share and write on the eBook and highlight to improve student understanding. I can spend less time struggling with technology and more time helping my students.
My students are happy they no longer struggle to see the problem and I can answer their questions with visual help. They also enjoy being able to see me in their break out group for help since I can also go to use zoom on this device as I do the same on my computer.”
