I am requesting different seating options so that my scholars can be relaxed. The seating choices will allow them to be comfortable and motivated. This can be done quickly by choosing a new seat that's low to the ground, on a bean bag, a tall stool, or just standing. My scholars need different seating choices in order to be engaged, burn calories, and have a better oxygen flow to the brain. Flexible seating is fun! It also promotes: collaboration-easily pair-up; community-share space and supplies; movement-burn energy; choice-choose where they work and with whom; and sensory input-stimulates students sense of touch.
