My classroom is made up of students who are at-risk due to many different factors. Our program enrolls between 150-160 students per year, 96% of whom qualify for free/reduced lunch. In addition to English and Social studies, I teach a class called Reconnecting Youth but can only do it for one semester at a time. I would like to run a booster class for kids who have taken the class but still need the everyday connection and the tools and hope to achieve in and out of school. Also, about 48% of the entire school population qualifies for free/reduced lunch so every teacher in the school has these kids or ones like them in their classes.
