The Right Start Supplies
Funded Aug 10, 2023Thank you so much for having donated the much needed supplies to my students. As described in my letter, they are using their notebooks on a daily basis in addition to their whiteboards. Whiteboard work accompanies our daily lessons for added practice of addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication or when we do reading and writing activities.
Notebooks go back and forth from classroom to home and vice versa on a daily basis. Their Science and Social Studies notebooks help them keep everything in one place as opposed to just using sheets of paper. This is very important because they have a one stop place for their organized notes.
When my students first saw the materials arrive in a big box, they asked, "Are those early Christmas presents?" and I answered, "Yes, they sure are!" They were very excited as they saw that there would be no need for their parents to go purchase these items for them.
All they have to do now is work hard on their daily math warm up activities, classwork, and homework and all these tasks can be much more easily accomplished and done because of you donors, thank you!
We are grateful for your support. Thank you so much from all of us in room 63, Ms. Almodovar's class, for gifting us such wonderful and much needed school materials.”

Funded Mar 25, 2022Thank you so much for ensuring that my student-athletes received the Physical activity equipment we so desperately needed. We used all the resources as soon as I unpacked them. We began with the parachute and my students totally loved it. We played different game variations with it such as picking a color, mushroom, umbrella, Nascar and other fun games. All these activities with the parachute were completely new to them since they stayed home for over a year during the pandemic. It was fantastic to have had our parachute gifted to us, thank you so much!
As far as the jump ropes, we loved the great quality since they did not tangle or break like our previous ones did. I assigned jump ropes for a week again with different game variations and they totally had a blast. When we opened the boxes with all our PE equipment my students gasped and said, "Finally we get to play other games other than kickball and handball." I assigned parachute for a week and jump ropes for another week for our morning PE class.
For the beginning of the new school year I plan to also use the flag football set we got. Since we received it 3 weeks before the end of the school year, we did not get to use it but totally plan to in September 2022. Thank you, thank you, thank you.”

Math Masters
Funded Nov 10, 2021We have received all our materials and immediately put them to use. We are using our money sets and whiteboards to divide and multiply in our current mathematics units. My students have been having an extremely difficult time learning and mastering these concepts, but thanks to you donors, we have been able to make this learning a lot easier and more fun since we received your gift.
When we first got the materials, which was about a month ago, I told them, "Santa came early to our classroom to deliver much needed math manipulatives." I took all the materials out and they were beyond excited when they saw the whiteboards because the few we had were stained and had to be shared in pairs as we did not have enough for individual use.
The next two math units will be fractions based and we will have our fraction tile manipulatives ready to go thanks to you wonderful donors. Just like the multiplication and division units, fractions are even harder to grasp, learn, and master. But thanks to your generosity, we will be ready for the challenge. We will continue to use our whiteboards, money sets, and fraction tiles to make the next units more real and understandable. Once again, thank you for opening your wallets for a wonderful cause.”
