Reading Is The Way To Grow!
Funded Dec 31, 2016On behalf of my students, I take great pleasure in expressing sincere gratitude for your generous contributions toward the funding of my project. My students are from one of the poorest sections of New York City and so we appreciate very much all the help and contributions from everyone.
The majority of my students are reading below grade level therefore the books that you donated has contributed toward improving their reading skills. They were very excited about the new books and are all eager to take them home every night to read and write book reports about what they read. Many of my students were reading at Level A at the beginning of the school year and now most of them are up to Level E and F.

A Rug for Circle Time!
Funded Aug 28, 2016I would like to express sincere gratitude on behalf of my students for your generous contributions toward the funding of my project. The rug has become the centerpiece of our classroom. The children love the beautiful colors and the letters on the rug. The rug has been a constant reminder that when we gather on it, it's a time of learning.
My students were very excited to see the new rug on the first day of school and now it's a great pleasure for them to sit on it every morning.

Help My Students With Their School Supplies
Funded Dec 31, 20152 Thank you for your generous contribution to support the students in my class here at PS 197 with there school supplies. Your donations will allow thirty students to have a school year without having to be concerned about things they will need in the classroom on a daily basis.
My students and their parents were very excited and grateful for all the supplies that your contributions made possible. The pencils, books, crayons and markers will ensure that all of their classroom assignments will be completed in class or at home.

It is a great joy to see that you share my passion for educating our children. My students and their parents were indeed grateful for the school supplies that your contributions helped to fund.
Because of your generosity, the children have enough notebooks, pencils, crayons, erasers among other supplies to last them for the entire school year. Without your contributions this would not have been possible as the majority of my students are from low income families and cannot afford to purchase all the school supplies that they need.
The students are able to complete all their assignments in class and also their homework which has made my work in the classroom a whole lot easier. The children are eager to learn and come to school each day with a passion for learning.

Ravenous Readers Need To Keep Reading During The Summer

They were very eager to inform me on the first day of school how much they enjoyed reading over the summer. This helped to improve their reading skills in preparation for the common core curriculum for second grade.

First Graders Need a Classroom Library!
Funded Feb 21, 2014It is with sincere gratitude that I write this letter to express on behalf of my students our sincere thanks for sponsoring my project. The books that we received have help to enhance my students reading and comprehension skills. Where as before they had few choices, now they can choose different books to take home and read every night.
All of my students are from low income families and with only one library in the neighborhood, their are not a lot of opportunities for them to get books to read at home.
Your contribution has made a big impact on my students' education. With the introduction of the new Common Core Standards state wide, my students need to be able to read on grade level.
