  • The Colors of Life!

    Funded Mar 4, 2019

I am not sure you know just how large an impact this color printer is going to have on our program. For instance, some of our non-verbal students need to use picture cards to communicate. Your generous donation will allow us to make those picture cards. So, in essence, you are giving some of our students a voice that they did not have before. For all our students in general, we will not only be able to create more and better materials for them, but our students will be able to directly use the printer as they begin to learn about accessing computers. So again, you are helping our students by giving the gift of accessing technology.

I want to thank you for all that you have given not only our students this year, but in the years to come. It is your investment in our students that is helping them to grow and achieve. I am humble by all of your generosity.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Sandoval

  • We Like to Move-It Move-It!

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

My students loved the Plasma Cars and the Scooter Boards. They are able to build their gross motor skills, their language skills, and have fun at the same time! The kids are becoming even more verbal by describing the equipment and how they feel using it . My students have eligibility of autism spectrum disorder and language delays, so you can imagine how excited we are to hear them using language to describe what they are doing. Your donation has helped my students in so many ways. We will always be grateful for your generosity.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Sandoval

This classroom project was brought to life by Ripple and 3 other donors.
Our school's preschool play yard is being upgraded to help protect our students from the heat and give them a great space to play. Now, we need to get the materials and toys that the students need to further their physical development! Now, we'll have the shade necessary to let the students actually play on the yard. They can develop their gross motor skills by using equipment such as a Plasma Cars, helping them to work on both large muscle movement and hand-eye coordination. And like the Plasma Cars, the scooter boards will also develop those same skills. Plus, we will have the ability to offer the students choices, rather than everyone having to do the same task or play with the same toys. And, most important of all, it will be fun! That's what preschool should be all about: learning through play! We have the yard, and now we need the mobility and environmental equipment to fill it. Physical development is one of the six critical areas we address in our special education program. With your help, we will be able to get some of the materials we need to help them develop their gross and fine motor skills. And, while the students are learning to play outside, we also get to work on another developmental area: social and emotional growth. When you help us with these materials, you help us in not one, but two of six critical domains of our special education program. Your donation helps address up to a third of their special education with us. You're making a big difference!
