Watch and Learn!
Funded Oct 31, 2023Thanks to all who donated and provided my students with the amazing portable monitor! It has been a game changer for my students' success in learning. They are more engaged and focused. Their scores in reading have improved tremendously as a result of being able to interact with the technology during our lessons. They are so excited to see their hard copy black and white books displayed in color on the screen! Reading has truly become a more joyful experience for them. My class and I truly appreciate your kindness and generosity. This technology has definitely made a difference in reaching our reading goals!”

Funded Sep 21, 2020Thank you so much for your generous donations which led to my students receiving their own personal headphones for distant learning. The boys and girls were so excited to use their headphones right away! The headphones have really made an immediate difference as my students are now better able to tune out any background noises and completely focus on their learning. I am also more successful in capturing their attention and keeping them engaged in learning. My class and I are so very appreciative of your willingness to donate. Your support means so much to us!”

Funded Aug 13, 2019Thank you so much for your generous donations which provided my second graders with their own personal headphones. They were so excited and anxious to connect them and put them to use! And boy, what a difference the headphones have made in our classroom! My students are benefitting as they are now more focused and engaged when using their technology. The classroom is quiet enough now so that I can conduct small group learning without my students becoming distracted by the sounds of their classmates' devices. This classroom project was brought to life by An Anonymous Funder and one other donor.Everyday Writers
Funded Nov 11, 2015I wanted to take this moment to thank each and every one of the donors for the huge impact they have had on my students. Many students had the opportunity to see the 30 boxes of notebooks delivered to the office. Their eyes opened wide when they found out that the notebooks were for them and that people from the local community as well as throughout the nation donated them to our school.
Students in grades 3-5 use these notebooks on a daily basis. As a matter of fact, most students have filled up their first Writer's Notebook and are now using the second. All of the students are using additional books to record their science learning - just like real scientists! Some students are now embarking on a reading journey, and using them as Reader's Notebooks to "jot" their thinking. To personalize their notebooks, students glue pictures, photos, and decorate the notebooks-this gives them ownership, not only of the notebook, but of the content written inside.
Your donation has impacted a large segment of our school population. They are eager to write, not just for writing lessons, but throughout the curriculum. Students realize that writing is a part of everyday life, everyday thinking, and everyday work.”

Take Home Library Books
Funded Jan 31, 2012Dear Donor,
I would sincerely like to thank you for your generous donation of books for our take home library. Your contribution makes it possible for my students to increase their time spent reading at home allowing them to reinforce and improve their reading skills.
The boys and girls are so excited to take their books home and read independently. It brings me such delight when they return their books and read a little excerpt of it to me. Because of your thoughtfulness, my students now have access to meaningful literature at home which greatly helps them to achieve reading success as they further develop their comprehension, vocabulary, phonetic skills, and fluency.
Thanks a million for providing my students with the opportunity to take home books of their choosing so that they may become independent, life-long readers.
