The HP Chromebook 14-inch Laptops will help ensure my students access to educational software such as Renaissance, StMath, Zearn and Lexia. To support student learning, most students will enjoy learning independently whether it be reading a book and taking a comprehension quiz on Renaissance. I can monitor my students' progress with reading comprehension and fluency, and take inventory of what genres my students enjoy all through Renaissance and the help of HP Chromebooks. Ideally, students will be arranged in flexible seating to enhance independent learning or small group learning. This allows me to work with small groups or individuals to target specific reading skills, such as reading comprehension, text-evidence support, retell, analyzing characters, settings, problem-solution,etc. During math time, when I am providing math warms ups, problem solving strategies/support and modeling a specific word problem, various students who need extra support will be retaught while other students can log into STMath and Zearn for additional math practice or math review on targeted skills such as place value, subtracting with 2 digit numbers, regrouping, measurement, geometry, etc. Having powerful tools in the class such as Chromebooks will be beneficial to enhance learning and student engagement. Also, having access to a Google Chrome Management License will ensure the Chromebooks can be supported by the district.
