Good at Math, Good at Everything
Funded Mar 5, 2020Thank you so very much for such wonderful math materials you donated to my class. I have a white magnetic board that came in perfectly for my classroom that I set up at my home. The magnetic hooks are helping me to hold up those very useful posters that I am using during my online math class. My students have benefited so much from the Place Value Chart because they are able to see it daily during our zoom class.
My teaching and my students' learning goes smoothly because of your amazing generosity. The students have a lot of fun during learning time when on Friday we play dominoes.”

Let The Creativity Continue with the Apple Pencil in Hand!
Funded Nov 19, 2020Thank you so much for making such a wonderful donation to my class. The ink has been a blessing for my online learning/teaching. I have been able to print materials for my students right on the spot, project them and share during zoom class. I am able to model writing, teach math, print Social Studies pages and have a lot of fun doing Art. The Apple Pen, came to enhance my teaching as well. I have been able to write notes on the Ipad when I am using Google Slides and make annotating over a slide presentation.
Alternatively, I am able to show my students proper letter formation using the three-lined paper that we use in elementary and what is amazing is that I am able to screen-share all of that during my Zoom class.
You are making my teaching and my students' learning go smoothly during these difficult times.”

Healthy Snacks Can Save Our Days
Funded Dec 21, 2019I want you to know that you made my twenty-three students very happy, and you brought great smiles to their faces. Thank you very much for funding my/our project "Healthy Snacks Can Save Our Days."
When the boxes arrived in the classroom my students were eager to open them. They were thrilled when they saw boxes and boxes of yummy snacks.
Every day at the end of the day, my students had a snack to take home and I saw improvement in their behavior because they were happy knowing that something good was on their way at the end of the day.
I need to add that we made them last. My students took turns and they were all happy to know that we were all on board sharing them.
Your generosity is and will be highly appreciated.”

Funded Jan 14, 2020I am writing this thank you note from my home on a Monday morning because due to the COVID-19 we are mandated to be home. I did not write it before because I was busy with my students in the classroom teaching to the standards and seeing their happy smiles, with all their supplies and my supplies organized. At home I was planning lessons and activities that I was going to deliver throughout the day.
Your wonderful donation had/has a great impact in my classroom.
My students have their materials at hand. We do not have the noise their little finger make when looking for a pencil or a crayon. The Tabletop Supply Caddy are a big success. The Magnetic Board Supply Caddy keep all my markers, scissors, pencils, pen etc. organized.
Your wonderful donation made my job and their job lot easier and we were all on task longer. I hope that difficult times pass soon and I will be able to be back in my classroom with my students and continue enjoying our well organized happy classroom.”

Print, Print, Print, "I Can See My Well Crafted Project"
Funded May 13, 2019Thank you very much for making our dream of having a printer in the classroom come true. Because of you, my days of running out of the classroom to make copies are over!
I appreciate your donations so deeply. One of the great impacts of having a printer in the classroom is that I do not have to stand in line in the copy room to make my copies during my lunch break. I help my second graders to save their work in a USB, so your generosity made possible that now my students, after spending hours on the well-crafted report or project, they can see the fruits of their labor printed with color ink.
We love our Epson - Expression EcoTank ET-2750 Wireless All-in-One Printer.”

Funded May 13, 2019I have no words to thank you enough for your generosity in donating the DESIGNA 3-Tier Metal Rolling Storage Cart with Utility Handle and Extra Storage Accessories and the StarTech.com 7 Port Compact USB 3.0 Hub - Built-in Cable - Aluminum USB Hub - USB peripheral sharing switch - 7 ports.
My students were very excited when they saw the box with the rolling cart in it. They got even more excited when we opened up the box and they saw the all the pieces of the rolling cart. They know that now we have the storage solution to keep our Dashes and Dot robots safe.
Our next steps are to build the rolling cart, charge the Dashes and Dots, and start programing them so my students can start to develop problem-solving skills, that allows them to have straight access to these STEM learning tools and resources.
The storage cart and USB ports will keep Dash and Dot robots safe, charged, and to be ready to be programmed the next day.”

Funded Feb 28, 2019You did it again! Thank you very much for your generosity. My students and I were thrilled when our project was funded. Because of you, my students make music in our own classroom. They engage with each other in meaningful ways.
Through music, they are learning new vocabulary that is helping them in all academic areas. They are developing the areas of the brain related to language and reasoning, improving craftsmanship, and they are creating good work instead of mediocre work.
Having music in the classroom is reducing stress, relieving frustration and is creating a peaceful classroom environment.
Thank you very much for donating to my classroom.”

Funded Feb 16, 2019Thank you very for your funding my project "Education Through The Physical." When the boxes arrived in my classroom it was dismissal time. My students didn't want to go home because they were anxious to open the boxes.
I can not thank you enough, without your support, my students would not be able to have a happy smile on their faces every day when doing physical education which is district mandated. We use the materials for twenty minutes daily. My eight-year old boys love the Frisbees because they get to pick their partners and the color of the frisbee, they stretch their arms to throw it as far as they can and the other runs to get it.
My girls love the Bean Bag Toss Game because they get to use the bean bags scarves that fly in the air as each girl tosses them into the cup.
Before you funded our project, I took my students to the playground just to run around the kickball area and stretch their bodies. Now, my students look forward for the PE time because they know that fun times are on the way, plus actually playing games in teams and with partner. Thanks to your generosity, I fulfill the standards aligned with physical education plus listening, speaking, and following one and two step directions.”

Hands-on Mentor Texts: Teaching Writing Through Children’s Literature
Funded Mar 27, 2018Thank you very much for your amazing donation. You opened the doors to benefit 25 happy students.
Research shows that one of the most effective ways to teach writing is through the use of Mentor Texts because students read, analyze, and emulate persuasive arguments, interesting explanatory pieces, and captivating narratives. My current and future students will benefit by looking and reading examples of good writing, especially when that writing is published work done by professional writers.
My students will use their prior knowledge to understand and use the writing process. Mentor Texts will allow us to have discussion during small group and whole group instruction, specially because we will read aloud to make sure that everyone reads the mentor text; my slow readers will have a sense of accomplishment because they wont be left behind. I will emphasize their attention on a well written sentence or paragraph and dig deep from diction to structure to alliteration. I will use Mentor Texts to teach my student about narrative, informative, persuasive, fiction, non-fiction, and poetry styles of writing.
I know at the beginning my students will be shy, and they will want to imitate, but that is a natural process. Slowly they will gain confidence and create their own amazing writing pieces.
Mentor Texts will inspire my students to create effective pieces of their own.
Once again, thank you very much for your generosity.”
