My students are a great little bunch. All with a special little something that makes them unique. The quiet one, the loud one, and the one that can't stay still. The creative one, the sensitive one, the funny one...I could go on and on. They are all unique in their own way, but they do have something in common: their enthusiasm to learn new things each day. My students are eager to learn and they come to school everyday ready to do their best. They truly make each day different and special.
Unfortunately, another thing they have in common is that they live in a low socio-economic area where resources are scarce. They have many disadvantages living in an area that provides little opportunity to grow and learn outside of the school setting. Resources at home are also limited which make it difficult for my students to practice and apply what they learn in school. Most of my students are also English Language Learners which adds to the challenges they already face.
