    I want to thank each and every one of you who donated to my project. My students and I can't thank you enough. We are having fun with the alphabet cards learning to recognize the letter and sound.

    The animal theme puzzles are a great hit. We are currently wrapping up our Pet Unit and the puzzles came very handy.

    Boy does my class like to dance and with the rhythm sticks, well that just gives them an extra boost in their dancing.

  • Quick! These Eager Rockets Need Headphones

    Funded Jan 23, 2023

    Thank you so much for your donations. The headphones are greatly appreciated by my students and myself. In today's world where technology is a big factor, having a tool like a headphone can make a big difference in a students learning and attention span.

    My students can now listen to their Reading Level books without the distractions of hearing other students audios being played. They get excited when their table is called on to get their headphones and the listening begins.

    My students love the fact that they have their headphones secured at school. No need to take and bring back headphones from home, which in the long run can get damaged.”

  • Future Musicians in the Making!

    I want to thank you for all the smiles on my students faces when its time for music and they get out their Recorders and practice. It has been so much fun learning how to handle the recorders, learning the notes/ fingers to use, and most of all creating MUSIC!

    My students are currently learning, "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" and it's been a learning and fun experience. My students have not had much experience with musical instruments, so when they open the box and saw all these Recorders they were jumping up and down. We have been watching videos on how to properly handle the recorder, clean it and learning the notes. Every morning for the first twenty-minutes they take their recorders out and start practicing, I got to admit they sound pretty good.

  • Reading Books Opens A World of Possibilities

    Dear Donors,

    Thank you so much for your support. My students have enjoyed reading the books and had group discussions on the readings. The books have been such an inspiration. I see the joy in my students' eyes as they read the books and how excited they get to be able to pick from so many different choices.

    It has been an awesome experience for both my students and myself to be able to have all these great books in our classroom library. Books can be such a powerful tool that they can open up a world of creativity. My students cannot wait to continue to read and be a part of this world of creative imagination.”

The vast majority of our students are from a low income, working middle class community. They are bright, energetic, and enthusiastic. Although most of the students have parents that work long hours that are more concerned with providing the everyday essentials and paying the bills, they enjoy a home life rich with a loving family that may also include siblings and supportive grandparents.
