  • Playground Equipment

    Funded Mar 26, 2025

The materials arrived today and the students were so excited about them. They saw the one package that had a picture on it and asked a lot of questions about what it was. I opened the package to show and tell them that it needed to be put together, they were so sad, they wanted to play instantly.

So while they were at gym I put the see saw together and when they came back they were so surprised and wanted to ride on it in the classroom. Then I had to put the rest of the materials together and they helped in their own way, (watching and asking over and over if it was done yet!). We didn't have a chance to go outside today since we had gym but they didn't care they used the see saw and the three ride on vehicles in class and the hallway. There was no containing their excitement!

They are loving these new materials and it is all thanks to your generous donations. Thank you so much!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Feeley

  • Pre-K Pied Pipers

    Funded Jan 14, 2025

My students are so excited about their recorders. Thank you so much for your generous donation to this project.

My students are using these instruments in music class. They are taking them to and bringing them back from class. They are also very happy that they get to take them home and show their parents what they are learning in school.

Not only are my students learning how to play the recorder in PreK, but they are learning responsibility of taking care of it, by remembering to take it to class and back and forth from home to school.

Thank you so much for helping to fund this project. Your generosity is very much appreciated and the students are loving them!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Feeley

  • Learning and Writing: Letters and Numbers

    Funded Oct 7, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous donations to my project. My students were so excited to get these workbooks.

They didn't even want to use pencils or crayons they were just using their fingers to trace the shapes, letters, numbers, and tracing exercises, they saw in the book.

I explained that they get to take these books home and share them with their parents. I told them to do homework with mommy and daddy and go over the letters and sounds that you know so your parents can learn English too.

I am also so very grateful that this project got funded and my students get a wonderful, colorful book that they can use to learn letters, numbers, and shapes and get to talk with their parents about all they are learning. Even the smallest of students can teach others about things they know.

Again thank you for your support and generosity, it is very much appreciated!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Feeley

  • New Books

    Funded Aug 14, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous donation to my project. My students are enjoying these wonderful new books!

These books have enhanced our classroom library. My classroom library is a place that my students really enjoy-I read on the carpet to them and they read independently! All of the books have been chosen with my students in mind, and they are loving them so much! They especially like reading the sensory books, touching, feeling and "reading" the one or two words on the page!

These new books, enable my students to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to read independently in the library area.

They are also able to choose books that interest them. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow and start to read. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in independent reading and these books are just being read everyday. They are even fighting over whose turn it is to read this book or that one.

Again thank you for supporting my project and getting these books into my students hands!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Feeley

  • Recycling Resources

    Funded Apr 22, 2024

Thank you for your generous support to my project. My students were so excited to get these wonderful new materials to learn about Recycling.

They loved the Play-Doh 2 in 1 Garbage Truck the most. The truck has a number or cookie cutter shapes to make people and items to be recycled. The students would create 3 or 4 garbage men, and then make a lot of things to recycle. Then they would use the truck to pick them all up and load them into the garbage truck. Then they could push the items down and the remolded Play Doh came out the back of the truck. They played with this over and over. I even had to set a timer so they would share with the other students.

The Imagination Generation Reduce & Reuse Recycling Center was also a big hit in the class. They spent a lot of time sorting out items to put in the correct garbage cans. This was also great for discussion when they talked with each other about where the items go and why.

These resources were a wonderful addition to our class and really helped explain to the students how and why we recycle. Learning through play is much more exciting and interesting to the students. I can't thank you enough for helping get these resources into the students hands.”

  • PreK Printer

    Funded Feb 15, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous donations to my project. My students are loving this new color printer.

We had a cookie making session, I took pictures of the students making the cookies, and then printed them to take home to their parents, that afternoon. They were so excited that they could share this wonderful experience with their parents/guardians.

We also recently had a Mother's Day celebration with students and their mom/female influencer, and again they got to take a picture home.

We got a new student and his picture was able to be displayed all over the classroom like the rest of the students as soon as the next day. All the students kept pointing and saying look "new student" family is here, his cubby is here, he has an attendance card.

The students also ask me to take a picture of something they made, built, a puzzle they put together on the floor and many other things and then ask me to print it so they can share with their parents.

They really love this great new resource in our class, and it is all thanks to you! Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

  • Engineering in Pre-K

    Funded Mar 2, 2024

Thank you for your generous donation to my project. My students are loving all these wonderful new materials. They are exploring, creating, discussing and playing.

The popular favorite is the engineer-a-coaster activity kit. They love creating the paths, putting the gears on it and see where it ends up. This is also great for students to have conversations around how it is falling, how they can fix it, and guessing what container it is going to land in.

We just finished a unit on Buildings and the Block & Blueprints center as well as the I Can Build It! Architecture set were a great resource for students to see how homes are blueprinted and then built. These materials also helped bring a new level of vocabulary for my students to use around the building unit.

Thank you so much for supporting this project because the students are learning so much from them, while playing and experimenting!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Feeley

The students in my school represent an ethnically and educationally diverse community. As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences. My school serves students in grades Pre K-8 and provides rigorous academics, hardworking teachers and a safe learning environment. And sometimes we need extra materials to help our students learn in a different way due to the various stages of development and academic needs.
