  • Our Robot Needs a Car(t)…

    The students were so relieved to see that we can transport our robots safely and without worrying about missing parts or losing it somewhere. They also know how it is much better to use as storage during non-tournament periods.

    The carts are necessary to organize our materials--robot parts, equipment and tools. It also makes it easy to move it from one place to another.

    Next week, our high school Robotics Club will be presenting to a middle school and they are happy to be able to transport the robots without looking for discarded boxes.

  • Can I Write on the Wall?

    Dear Donors,

    My heartfelt thanks goes to all of you for the realization of our project. We have started using our document camera to show warm-up problems; to share our work from the students' paper which gets projected right away for the class to see and discuss--which finally saves our time from writing it on the board. It is also very useful to project some video clips from the laptop for the whole class to see clearly.

    May you continue to share your generosity as you think of the students who will soon be the leaders of our country in the future. What you did to our class is a tangible evidence of your belief that education can change the future.

My students come from low-income families but who are very hard-working and diligent students who try their very best to learn the intricacies of a very challenging AP Calculus AB curriculum. They have committed themselves to come one hour after school two times a week just to go over the concepts we are learning in class. They help each other in explaining different ways of solving the problems and they take pains in practicing and solving problems that they have never met before in their pre-Calculus years. Despite of the difficulties along the way, they have shown great determination to prepare themselves for the coming AP exam. I am very proud of the effort they are exerting to live up to the class expectations and to continuously challenge themselves.

About my class
