I teach 2nd grade in a low-income community in Los Angeles. All of my students are on free or reduced lunch. Resources are tight at my small school, and that means I am the one often buying the supplies we need. My second grade students are ready and eager to learn; they are also already behind their peers in wealthier communities. As a class we work together to maximize all of our learning time, because my students want to learn as much as they can. One way we can save time is by having a place for everything we use everyday.

About my class
