Thank you for your donating the kindle fire for my classroom. We use it almost every single day and it has benefited us in several ways.

We use the kindle fire in math class and it has helped enhance the children's learning and note taking skills. My students are able to take math notes and upload them to share with other students. The Kindle Fire has given my students a new and different way of reviewing material. It has also allowed my students to advance technologically.

Thank you for your thoughtful donation.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Hodes

Our school is located in a middle class suburban area of California, but a majority of the students live in the surrounding low-income areas. We have one of the most diverse student populations racially, ethnically, economically, and linguistically. The students I work with are energetic, creative, wonderful sixth grade children - many of whom come from homes filled with stress and anxiety about loss of work, illness, hunger, and fear. Most of these students are required to deal with these problems along with their learning disabilities. Many are English Language Learners. The drastic budget cuts have affected what I am able to do for them on my own, as well as what the school is able to provide for them.
