My kindergarten students come from a low economic area but they are motivated to come to school and do their best to learn. They enjoy new materials especially the ones geared toward improving their learning skills. This motivates them further in learning their writing skills and different writing genre. Their listening center needs improvement as they enjoy listening to Dr. Seuss especially enjoyable are the fun rhyming style. Their school can not currently afford to purchase new items to upgrade their listening center nor purchase writing materials at the kindergarten grade level. My students are self motivated to learn more and improve their writing, improve their sight word knowledge, and listen to different books at their age level. These materials will further help all levels of learning in my class from the advanced to the emerging learners and will further help them develop their writing skills through the use of the amplified auditory devices of a sound phone.
