  • Technology to Help in Communication

    Funded Jan 24, 2012

This letter is just a small token of my deep appreciation and gratitude for your generous donation to my classroom. The computer laptop that you donated have helped my students every single day. My students are using the laptop everyday to practice typing and keyboarding skills that helps then to write and communicate. I am using this laptop as well for presenting lessons, during small group or whole group instruction. Learning is fun and interactive with lots of vivid visuals for my students.

By now, everybody is aware about the current budget crisis and our school is facing that shortfall as well, so I'm thankful for all your support with this donation that otherwise we would never have.

Again, my utmost thanks on behalf of each and everyone of my students who are the direct beneficiaries of your generosity.Take care.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Clarissa

  • Hands-On Learning Is Always More Fun!

    Funded Jan 25, 2012

I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt appreciation with wholesome attitude and kindness for your generous donation to my classroom. The hands on activity sets that you donated have helped my students every single day. The getting to Read box set,Alphabet and Number Building cards and Writing Practice magic board enhanced their learning of basic academic readiness and early literacy. I am using these materials for small group instructions and independent tasks in their individual work stations. They are all excited to participate and do the activities because its colorful, fun and multi-modal.

Our school is currently experiencing budget cuts so without your help my students would never would have these important resources.

That is why I am extremely thankful on behalf of each and everyone of my students who are the direct beneficiaries of your philantophic generosity.

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Clarissa

The majority of my students have cognitive delays and behaviors that impact their ability to access the core curriculum and meet grade level standards in all academic areas to such degree that their instruction is based on the alternate curriculum.
