    Funded Feb 6, 2025

Words can’t express how thankful I am that you liked my project enough to fund the things I need. Students need hands on projects so that they will never forget the purpose of the activity. You have made that happen for my students! Thank you so much❤️ I can’t wait to get started!!!”

  • Picture to Eyes

    Funded Aug 3, 2023

I cannot express enough for all the things you sent my First Grade Students. My students had so much fun helping open the boxes. Not only were they excited, but so was I. I let each of them know where the gifts came from and boy did they have a lot of questions!

We have used everything you donated especially the pencils! It's a constant hassle for them to keep up with their pencils. I have sure enjoyed the Die Cut machine. I have used it to reward my students. The kids LOVE the National Geographic books. I made a super choice with those. Oh, and the floor seat are wonderful! I wish I would have ordered more! They work great in my science center. I could go on and on about everything to gave us. I could never thank you enough because we have a lot of work to do, and your generous donation helps us get that important work done.

None of our success would be possible without generous donors like you. Thank you again for your commitment and kindness.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Hammett

  • Let's Have Fun With Math & Science Using Animals!

    Funded Nov 12, 2013

My students were so excited with the animals. We had to examine each animal to find which habitat it belonged to. They absolutely loved this activity. The different animals looked so real. I enjoyed watching my students work in groups and get so excited discussing where and why that animal belonged in one of the environments. They discussed all four habitats and did research in the computer lab. Students will learn and understand the term habitat. They will also discover that forests, deserts, wetlands, and grasslands are unique and separate habitats. We will identify animals that live in four different environments.

Using the Computer lab, every group did a power point on animal habitats. This is a Common Core skill they had to learn so this activity was a great opportunity for them to do this.

Every so often I get them out and let them work on another power point or poster about animals. I think this donation from Donors Choose has been one of my favorite and my students also!!!”

  • Wow! Science Is So Much Fun!

    Funded Jun 19, 2013

WOW! Thank you so much for your kind donation! My students and I cannot wait until the Spring to become little gardeners. We have already gotten seeds and other gardening supplies to get us started! We will use Science and Math to create our power points to share with other grades on "How to Use A GreenHouse to Get Your Garden Started". My students are so excited. We have already built a small garden box to put our plants in after they have grown in the green house. We hope to be able to grow some vegetables that we can put on our salad bar in the cafeteria. We will never be able to thank you enough! You have made our school year even more exciting!

    Thanks A Bunch!!”

  • Using Educational Games to Make Math Fun!

    Funded Dec 7, 2012

Thank you for your generous donation of the hands-on manipulatives for my Fourth graders! Thanks to your contribution to education in providing my students an hands-on opportunity to learn. I appreciate your effort and all that you have done to ensure that more kids get educated and have a brighter future.

My students have enjoyed using the dominos to work fraction problems and the bucket of manipulatives have made it easy for them to visuslize fractions!

As I successfully fulfill my mission of educating my students, It is only due to the patronage of people like you that I have that opportunity!

Thank you again for all your donation!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Hammett

This year I'm teaching second grade after one of my best friends passed away with cancer. My students have really come a long way. I have many that have difficulty with Math facts and reading. They are very sponge-able boys and girls that are eager to learn. I have some low class students that are weak, but I'm doing all I can to help them succeed. I love each one of them as if they were my own children. My heart hurts for those who have problems with school work because of their home environment. This is why we have to do most of our activities at school and little at home. This is a wonderful class that I know can learn. Sometimes it takes some longer than others.
