Summer Reading
Funded Jun 21, 2022My third-grade class thoroughly enjoyed their Summer reading. Your generosity and donation made it possible for my students to have a book during the summer. The books kept them busy and at the same time learning.
Each student was able to select a book of their choosing. This point was necessary because the student was more likely to complete reading the book if they were given the opportunity to select their own summer reading.
Thanks again for your generosity. We will always be thankful.”

Funded Jan 18, 2022The books are awesome! My entire class has already read several of the donated books. As the students read, they can also write reports and reviews on their books. The selection of books is varied and at different reading levels. All of my students are able to benefit from the selection of books due to the fact the levels vary from beginning readers to chapter books.
The books are in our classroom library where all the students can access them at any point throughout the day.
Thank you for your donation.”

Funded Jan 6, 2022Thank you for your generous donation to our 3rd-grade class. Just like the title of my project says..."Back to the great outdoors'" The outdoor equipment got my class enjoying cool games that they played outside.
My students mainly enjoy using the mini-colorful basketballs. They are the perfect size for their little hands. The students get very excited when I announce that we will be outside for P.E. time and that we will be using the equipment that was donated to our class.
Thank you once again.”

Funded Jan 23, 2021My class and I would like to thank you for donating to our project. You have made it for my student to enjoy writing in journals. The journals are used on a daily basis. Students are able to express themselves freely. The majority of them also enjoy sharing aloud with their peers the engaging stories they have written.
The Writing Process folders have helped all my students stay organized when writing narrative, expository, and opinion pieces. The fact that the folders come with very useful information on the inside flaps has been very helpful to the students. Thank you for being so generous!”

Zoom Learning, Let's Go!
Funded Jun 13, 2020I can't thank you enough for your kindness. The day the delivery arrived was such an exciting day. I immediately notified my students that the Google Pixelbook had arrived and that I would finally have the opportunity to use the camera on the computer and actually see them through Zoom lessons.
When I first saw that people had donated to my project in order to facilitate my distance learning teaching, I was moved. Thank you so much for making this project possible for my amazing 3rd graders. They were also moved by your generosity.”

Funded Feb 24, 2018It is with great gratitude that I write this letter. We recently received the items we needed for our classroom. The organization in our classroom has improved immensely. The students in my classroom are able to find materials with ease, because they have a specific place in which to look.
The students use the rolling cart everyday during our independent work time. They simply go to the color-coded cart, pull-out the bin they need and get right to work utilizing the material inside the bin.
The four tiered colorful tray is also used by the students on a daily basis. They are able to simply go to the tray and place their classwork and homework in the labeled tray.”

Art Will Make You Happy!
Funded Aug 26, 2016My name is Ms. Gomez, I am a second grade teacher. Our school is located in South L.A. My students come from disadvantage homes. This fact does not allow my students to have many opportunities to create art projects at home. For this reason, I feel that it is very important that our class creates lots of art in the classroom.
The drying rack has been very helpful in our classroom. It has allowed my class to neatly dry our painting. Before we had the drying rack, the students had to place their painting on the floor in order for the painting to dry. That task would often be messy because we would unfortunately step on them, by accident. Also, we would run out of floor space to place the paintings or art work.
Now that we have been fortunate enough to have received the drying rack, our class has benefited from it. We are able to paint more often and learn to love art! Thanks to your generosity, my class has a beautiful drying rack. Thank you very much”

Ride and Learn on the Magic Carpet
Funded Mar 9, 2012I, Ms. Arellano will like to thank you for your generous donation to our classroom. My class has put the beautiful carpet to good use. My students have worked on many exciting activities while on the carpet. The bold colors and shapes are very inviting.
My students truly enjoy circle time because they know they will be sitting on the nice and clean carpet while listening to a great story. The students have the opportunity to practice essential language skills when they "pair-share" read with a partner while on the carpet. The carpet also serves as a great place for students to work on floor puzzles.
Thank you so for your generosity. Because of you, each of my students has their own spot to sit on the carpet. This also allows me as the teacher to have more efficient classroom management.”
