  • Music for Young Minds

    Funded Nov 13, 2023

Thank you very much for your kind and generous donations. My students were so excited when they received their very own recorders. The smiles on their faces showed how appreciative they were. They have been learning and practicing how to play the musical notes. They look forward to recorder lessons every week. The students will learn to play different songs on their recorders and I will videotape them. I will show their parents the videos during Open House.

Thanks to you, my students were able to have this opportunity.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lam

  • Learning Is Fun With Technology

    Funded Jan 26, 2012

Thank you so much for your generous donations. My class and I have been using the iPod touch on a daily basis. My students are able to access the Internet to find answers to their questions, view maps in our Social Studies lessons, and view different artworks from the artists we are studying (ie. Vincent Van Gogh and Henri Matisse). The iPod touch is very helpful in our classroom since who only have one computer.

I am now using it to take pictures of my students working and special activities in the school. I will be videotaping them when they are reading their scripts for a play. This will allow their parents to "watch" them on TV during Open House.

Thank you again to all of you for making this happen!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lam

  • Help Kids Learn

    Funded Jan 26, 2012

This is just a small token of my gratitude for your generous donation to my classroom. The electric pencil sharpener and dry erase makers have helped my students every single day. We happily sharpen the pencils and use them to do our assignments in class. We used the dry erase markers to write on our white boards during reading and math lessons. My students get to show their answers right away and I give them feedback right away. They are having so much fun learning with our new supplies.

Without donors like you, this would not be possible!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lam

All my fourth graders are from low-income families. They receive free lunch. They are wonderful, hard-working, and enthusiastic. They love to learn, play, and interact with each other. Our school is a Title 1 school. We have very high standards for our students and they try their best.
