Getting Excited About Words

I have been out of the classroom for several years. I want to thank you for supporting my project in 2012. At the time the school I worked with had no technology. My students had many opportunities to improve their vocabulary as English Learners. To find vocabulary words in pictures, videos, and in the real world and help them experience words.
I am currently an assistant principal and I am pleased to tell you that many of the students who were in my last classroom in 2012 still come and visit me and have very fond memories of learning English Vocabulary in our class. Thank you for your contributions.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Wasserman Foundation and 35 other donors.

Most of my students are immigrants who lack English vocabulary. Their families have limited formal education and need much support to excel in school. 100% of my students receive free meal plans and they lack exposure to much needed technology, which can enhance their learning.
