My students are kindergartner and first graders who are severely intellectually challenged. Even though learning is harder for my students they are still able to reach their full potential with the right strategies and techniques. Learning with manipulative's keeps the students engaged and helps them to focus for longer periods of time. The manipulates help them grasp the concept that they are trying to learn, they can hear it, feel it and see it.
