  • We Can't Hear! Headphones Needed Urgently!

    Funded Oct 10, 2024

We want to thank you for your generous donation towards our project. The students use academic programs on their Chromebooks such as iReady Math, Amplify Reading, and Zearn Math to review what was taught in class each day. Each lesson is aligned to the day's lesson. Students had a hard time hearing their programs without headphones. Thanks to you, the noise distraction has completely diminished and the students can now hear their programs.

Furthermore, while the class is silent working on their Chromebooks, I can now pull small groups and work with them on their differentiated learning needs. Thank you for making this possible in our classroom. Having headphones made a world of a difference thanks to you.”

  • Vehicle Building Engineering Materials Needed

    Funded Sep 7, 2024

We want to thank you for your generous donation towards our project. As a STEAM magnet teacher, I'm always looking for new materials and ideas to teach engineering to my 2nd graders. Your generous donation has helped us purchase new sets of vehicle building engineering kits.

The student can now use the kits to go over the engineering process to build vehicles designed by them. They will design them, create them, and test them out. If they aren't happy with their design, we have plenty of new materials to create a new one. Thank you for helping us inspire future engineers.”

  • Headphone Needed Urgently!

    Funded Oct 22, 2023

Thank you very much for donating to my project. Your generous donation helped each and every one of my 22 students. The students received brand new headphones and put them to use immediately.

The students have educational apps on their ipads that help them review what they missed on the district's tests. Each lesson is created for each student's individual level. With the new headphones, the students can now hear and access all of their personal lessons without any distractions. Thank you again.”

  • Hands On Engineering Materials Needed Urgently

    Funded Nov 17, 2022

Thank you very much for your generous donation towards STEAM materials for my 1st grade classroom. I teach a STEAM program, but don't always have the materials necessary for my students to go through the whole engineering process.

My students were really excited to begin building their previously designed bridge. They couldn't believe we actually had the materials necessary to build.

With the bridge building materials you generously contributed towards, my students have been able to use their creativity to design a bridge that can go over a pretend river. The students have gone through the engineering cycle by planning, designing, and creating their bridge. Now the next step will be for the students to try and make a long bridge and see if it will hold up. We are all excited to use the new materials and can't wait to get creative with them.”

  • Tigers Are in Need of an Extra iPad!

    Funded May 4, 2022

Most of my students don't have access to technology at home. What the school provides is what they use. Having enough ipads for my students have helped them gain access to our curriculum at school and home. Although the school provides ipads, the students oftentimes get old ipads that aren't compatible with the updated programs. Having extra ipads in the classroom gives access to all programs to my students on a daily basis.

Having ipads is extemely beneficial for my students. The ipads provide books for the students to read, access to reading apps like Amplify, math apps like ST Math and Starfall, as well as coding apps like Scratch Jr and Code.org. With their ipads, my students are future ready!

Thank you for helping all my students gain access to the world through technology. My students are ready for the world!”

  • IPAD NEEDED for in CLASS LEARNING!

    Funded May 28, 2021

I want to take the time to thank you for your generous donation. My students and I now have an extra ipad to use in the classroom. Most teacher assessments are online. My old ipads are outdated so the new testing programs can't be completed on them. With this new ipad, I can now test and have accurate data for my students.

Furthermore, my students now have an extra ipad to use in the classroom incase they forget their own. With the updated ipad, my students can now use educational programs that will help them with their learning.

This generous gift means a lot to us. Thank you once again.”

  • Upgraded Technology Needed Urgently in the Classroom!

    Funded Nov 10, 2019

Thank you so very much for your generous donation towards our upgraded technology. My students are finally able to use technology that supports the new programs available by the district. Our district has purchased math and reading programs that support our students in the exact areas they need. We weren't using them since we didn't have the means available in the classroom. With our new ipads, the students can now use the programs at least twice a week.

These new programs excite my students because the games they play are so animated, they don't know they are learning. For them, its just a game. Not only are they reviewing skills they need in math and reading, my students will now have access to programs that teach them how to code and move robots. There is a world of upgraded apps my students will now be able to use with our new ipads.

Our new ipads have really motivated my students who are slow at work to hurry up and finish. They complete their assignments and are allowed to use the ipads. They are motivated and excited to complete their work now. The ipads have also helped my kinesthetic learners. We have apps that allow students to manipulate and move letters, numbers and objects helping them learn easier. Having upgraded technology has really helped our classroom learning.”

    Mrs. Robles

My students are English learners and come from other countries. Spanish is their primary language, therefore they need as much exposure to the English language as possible. They attend a school that has 95% latinos. The neighborhood is surrounded by lower income apartments, as well as shelters for the homeless. The only technology our students have is the technology the classrooms provide for them.
