My students need many materials to learn more about money and true life experiences. The big-book easel will serve many purposes. It will allow the students to read the big books that we have about counting and math. Furthermore, the white board that is attached to the easel, will serve as the perfect place for the children to use and play with the magnetic money. It can be used by both the students and the teacher during circle time. The cash register and the money trivia game will help to make the concept of money more concrete for my young learners. I am excited to use the trivia game with the class so that they can earn table points and play money based on their learning. The money that they earn will later be used to purchase prizes and rewards in our classroom, only furthering their financial literacy. I am eager to fold all these new materials into my existing money program. For years, I have paid the children with play-money based on their behavior and academic efforts. These materials will surely make their experiences more realistic and meaningful.
