It Is the Little Things
Funded Nov 28, 2022This project was just a mish mash of the things our classroom needed. Thank you! The parents love the growth chart and really appreciated seeing their child's place on the chart. Creating a classroom community begins with making the classroom student centered and the growth chart is a big hit.
Speaking of big hits, the playdoh is always a fan favorite with five year olds. We use it all the time for play and for hands on learning activities. We make letters and smash sounds in words, thank you for providing the dough, literally.
You are so kind, thank you for supporting myself and my students.”

Learning to be Resourceful
Funded Sep 7, 2022The little things bring joy in life, a nice nap, great book or the perfect cup of coffee. The same is true for an early childhood classroom, great building blocks, materials to imagine with and paint to create with. Thank you for providing those additions to our classroom.
Building comes naturally to young children, they love it. Magna Tiles are the "whoo hoo" of building materials, they are bright, easy to use and provide hours of enjoyment. The are popular everyday in our classroom. We also have out Loose Parts each week to get the creative juices flowing in our littlest leaners. This week is was all sorts of things to build snowflakes, which turned into a family of snow people living together in harmony. A wonderful accident.
Your kindness is deeply appreciated. Thank you!”

Funded Aug 4, 2022The Calm Corner in my classroom is the single most used area in my classroom ever! Every single student uses it on a weekly basis. The Calm Corner has been a game changer for assisting students to mange their feelings.
The magical benefit I am seeing with the implementation of a Calm Corner in my early education classroom, students are helping each other use the Calm Corner. They suggest books and fidget toys located in the Calm Corner. Students even suggest when they see a friend having big feeling to visit the calm corner for some relaxation.
You have made a difference in the lives of my students. Thank you for your donation.”

STEM Fun
Funded Jul 28, 2022"Ideas can come with the flip of a switch." Our light table has countless possibilities, students love building there. We have seen towers, castles, houses, our school and Humpty Dumpty's wall, all with the flip of the on switch.
My student's creative juices are flowing thanks to your generosity. The materials have made a huge difference, they spark the imagination in my little learners. We have esael painting going on everyday, the students paint on large pieces of paper. Painting on a slanted surface assists in handwriting development.
Students enjoy counting the transparent counters and then finding the corresponding mirrored numeral. This highly engaging and entertaining math activity is available to my students because you donated to our project. THANK YOU!!”

Funded Aug 15, 2022A big rainbow wave to you for providing our classroom with wonderful art materials. We use them every single day. Students might use the during playtime to design a face or small groups for writing instruction. Thank you!!
The students love the smelly markers they will draw and write all sorts of magical stories and illustrations using them. The watercolor paints are out in a self serve Creation Station. I smile every time I see a student help themselves. The dot markers are a huge hit, we made colorful borders for our bulletin boards with them.
One of my little girls loves one of the Art Books. She has her fellow classmates sit down on the rug so she can "read" it to them repeatedly. Thank you for providing these wonderful materials.”

Creative Students Build Classroom Community
Funded May 12, 2022The students have come up with exciting ways to use this IPAD. I am impressed beyond belief. I thought the students would be interested in playing games, I was wrong. I thought I would need to be pushing them to use the IPAD in unique ways. Again I missed the mark. You provided my students a chance to make ART, they LOVE taking photographs.
They are curious creative kids who love each other and have built a wonderful learning community. They really enjoy taking pictures of each other and documenting the learning going on in our classroom. They also love taking photographs of themselves.
We keep the IPAD in the Building Center, where students are encouraged to take pictures of their creations. But the students have began taking photographs of their art and drawings as well. If a friend tries really hard to write a letter or their name, another student will say, "Let me capture that." I am tickled pink. I am so proud of the pride in their accomplishments, for themselves and their classmates. We are planing a Photography Show during Parent Conferences week in November where the students will choose their favorite photos and we will display them for families to enjoy.
I will share one last little snap shot of how much the IPAD has meant to my class. One of my boys did a beautiful job organizing the Play Kitchen. He said, "I need to take a picture to send to my mommy so she knows I learned how to clean from her." Thank you for your donations it means the world to my little ones.”

Funded Sep 7, 2021From the bottom of my heart I want to say thank you for the beautiful wooden two story dollhouse. My students adore it. It is such a hit whenever students come from other classroom's to visit the dollhouse is the first thing they want to play with. It is real wood with sliding doors and a balcony. The students all made a peg doll that represents themselves to use in the doll house. We have furniture for the students to design a home and play pretend family.
Thank you for you kind donation and taking time out of your busy life to brighten my student's life.”

Funded Jul 30, 2021Thank you for the support and kindness! I am sending a big shout out from my kiddos to you! My students love the classroom materials you provided us. The sand toys were say the biggest hit, my students loved the tiny scoops for some reason. We had an alphabet matching acorn game during fall time in our classroom sand table. My little learners loved to find each other's first letter in their name and scoop sand inside that acorn. Who knew? :0)
Just as a bonus to me The tissue you provided has come in really handy. I have not had to purchase one box with my own money. Thank you!”

Funded May 4, 2021Happy Day! That describes the look of excitement when students see the big beautiful wooden two story dollhouse. Your donations provided for our Early Transitional Kindergarten classroom, my students have had hours of pretend fun using our new dollhouse.
To be honest it was a bit tricky to put together but wow is she gorgeous. The doll house has real wallpaper and an adorable balcony. She is also large enough for several students to play and pretend at once.I requested the two stories house because a lot of my students live in apartments and I wanted them to be able to relate to the dwelling. It can easily pass as an apartment with enough room for several families to share. They love setting up the rooms and I enjoy hearing the reasons for their choices, for example why the bathtub should be in the kitchen, "Because that is where the water is".
Last week a student was pretending to build and fix the pretend furniture. She was teaching her classmates what to do if a cabinet door breaks off. : )
Pretend and make believe play is a window into student thinking and feelings. Thank you for opening the "windows" in our classroom with your generous gift.”
