Help Inspire My Students With a Classroom SCIENCE Library

Funded Sep 30, 2016

Thank you so much for your generous donation for the rotating science magazine library for our classroom. We have already started to fill the library with the latest science magazines. We are also keeping Tuesday's NY Times Science Times in the library. This is an on-going effort to build a library that students are excited to explore and use in the classroom.

One of the first usage of the library involved every student in the class picking up a magazine of their choice. They were instructed to pick any science article that they are interested in, and take the time not only to read, but share their learning with their classmates in their tables. Encouraging a love of learning and discovery through learning is a wonderful trait to instill in our young adults. Students were then asked to post their findings into our online discussions where they are responding to each other regarding their findings.

One of my next projects to enrich the library is to gather the NY Times Science Times subscription to be added to this library. It will continue to engage students with the latest discoveries in science. My students are very excited for the Science Discoveries that they come across on their own through this Science Magazine Library and I hope to continue to expose them to the latest science discoveries. Thank you again for your support.”

With gratitude,

Mr. J.
