  • Fun with Math!

    Funded Aug 11, 2019

Thank you so much for your generous donations to my classroom. My students and I are very grateful. I teach Math Intervention to students at my school. The students who come to see me don't have the necessary basic math skills, such as place value and number sense. Not having these skills already make learning math very difficult, especially in the upper grades! The materials that you purchased for my groups will definitely be helpful in that area.

The SMath game is SO much fun and the students love it! I like the way it reinforces addition and subtraction. The students are practicing these skills but in a way that makes it enjoyable!

The students also enjoy the various Roll and Play games, especially the Time Game. It is so much fun and they are learning while doing it! These activities that you purchased for my students have made learning Math fun! Thank you so much!!!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. H.

  • Let's Master Math!

    Funded Dec 31, 2018

Thank you so much for your donations to this project! My students were so excited to see the new materials and could not wait to use them in Math Groups!

Many of my students get very discouraged when they attempt to solve math problems and its frustrating for me to watch. They want to be successful, but they have no confidence in their math abilities. The math games are a wonderful way for them to practice basic skills, engage with other students, and build their self confidence in Math. My students, especially the boys, love the 4 Way Countdown Game. They have such a good time playing all while strengthening their math skills!! The other games and activities, such as the Trifacta game and the differentiated learning centers, provided my students with additional practice on multiplication, addition, and subtraction!

Your donations are greatly appreciated! My students are already showing more confidence in their Math abilities! Thank you again!!!!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. H.

  • Fun With Math!

    Funded Sep 25, 2018

Thank you so much for your donations. My students were so excited when we opened the boxes and saw all of the fun math games! My students were the most excited about the Roll and Solve games with dice. They love them!

We used the Roll and Solve Math Games to practice our basic facts. Right now, we played with the addition and subtraction Roll and Solve Games. Eventually, we will utilize the other games as the students learn those new skills. The Math Puzzles and Visualize It cards are a fabulous resource to use in my small groups, especially when the students are completing partner activities.

My students and I are grateful for your wonderful donations to our math class. Your donation will help us succeed at Math, and we appreciate it!!!

    Thank you so much!!!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. H.

  • Let's Learn Math!

    Funded Jan 12, 2017

Thank you so much for the Math Materials. My students love them, and so do I! We have been using the Math Games daily and they are so much fun! The students enjoy playing them, they are learning math, and they are also developing sportsmanship. All while learning math!!!!

We are using them everyday in our Math groups. Each group may do a different activity, such as dice games, or some of the math intervention activities. I can use these materials to differentiate within my groups and it is making a huge difference.

This project enhanced my students learning a great bit. They are excited to come work with me in Math, they are showing cooperation while playing the math games, and they are learning while having fun!

Thank you again for your generous donation!”

Thank you so much for the Hokki Stools. My students love them, and so do I! They have been sharing them every day and taking turns. The students love that they can get their "wiggles" out and still learn more Math!

We are using them everyday in our Math groups. My students love to share them. For my students who have difficulty sitting still, these stools are the best! It's hard to imagine life without them!

This project enhanced my students learning a great bit. They are excited to come work with me in Math, they are showing cooperation with the stools, and they are learning while having fun!

  • Math Masters!

    Funded Dec 26, 2014

Thank you so much for your donations. My students were extremely excited to receive all of the valuable resources, especially the clocks. We immediately started using the graphing pocket chart and surveyed everyone who passed our room to add to the graphs! Most of all, my students love the calendar set that we are using now. It has many different items on it, such as the weather, season, holiday, etc.

We are using the resources everyday within our groups. The students are using the geared clocks to tell time and estimate elapsed time, using the graphs to keep track of our favorite foods, and we are using Common Core Task Cards every day with our partners. My students and I love all of the valuable resources that you provided us. We are very grateful!”

    Mrs. H.

  • Reading Can Be Fun!

    Funded Apr 7, 2014

Thank you so much Mr. Hayes! My class and I are so grateful that you funded this project! It is amazing! The students were so excited to see more resources that we can use for Reading and ELA! Our class works in small groups all day, and the class has enjoyed utilizing these resources!

My class has fourteen students and all of them are very low in Reading and ELA. I am using these materials as an additional resource for them. Especially the Comprehension Cards, the students love them and the cards address so many Common Core Standards! The Reading Centers are amazing as well, the students work to complete the activities and then they can check their own work!

Overall, I have already seen growth in my students' reading and comprehension skills. They are showing what they have learned on the MAP tests and the SC PASS test. The project that you so kindly funded has already had an impact on my class-they are learning and having fun at the same time! Thank you so much Mr. Hayes!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. H.

I teach third grade at a Title 1 school in South Carolina. Many of my students come from low income households, and almost fifty percent of them are Hispanic. Many of my third graders are struggling with learning how to read and write because they do not have the additional resources they could use to help them.
