  • Organizing Reading Group Books for Succes

    Funded Jan 12, 2025

Thanks to your support, my students now have the essential tools they need to stay organized, focused, and confident during their reading groups. The 1" binders, binder pockets, and binder clips have made a tremendous difference in our classroom routines and in the students' overall learning experience.

With their own binders and binder pockets, students are able to keep their reading group books and materials neatly organized and easily accessible. No longer are valuable minutes lost searching for misplaced books — students can quickly and efficiently transition into reading activities, maximizing their learning time. The binder clips have also helped keep everything securely in place, protecting their books from damage and ensuring that materials remain complete and ready for use.

Thank you for providing the tools that have made this growth possible. Your generosity has made a lasting impact on our classroom and on each student's path toward success!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Culligan

  • Building a Strong Foundation

    Funded Jan 15, 2025

Thanks to your support, my students have been able to engage in active, hands-on literacy practice that is essential for their early reading and writing development. The magnetic letter trays and dry-erase markers have created exciting new opportunities for learning that are both fun and deeply effective.

Using the magnetic letters, my students practice mapping sounds (phonemes) to letters (graphemes), strengthening their foundational literacy skills. They are actively manipulating letters to form words, helping them connect spoken language to written text in a meaningful and memorable way. This hands-on practice has significantly boosted their letter recognition, phonemic awareness, and spelling skills — all critical components of becoming strong readers and writers.

The addition of dry-erase markers has further expanded their learning. Students not only build words with magnetic letters, but also practice writing letters, words, and even simple sentences. This multisensory approach — seeing, touching, and writing — helps reinforce important literacy concepts, making learning more concrete and lasting.

Through daily practice with these materials, my students are developing greater accuracy, confidence, and fluency. They are more engaged in lessons, take greater ownership of their learning, and are proud to show their growing abilities. The interactive nature of these tools keeps them motivated and makes literacy development an exciting part of their school day.

Your generous contribution has given my students the tools they need to thrive, and you have made a lasting impact on their journey toward becoming confident readers and writers. Thank you for believing in them and supporting their success!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Culligan

  • Interactive Learning

    Funded Apr 28, 2025

Thank you so much for your generous support of our classroom project! As an educator, I strive every day to create an engaging and dynamic learning environment where each student can develop their skills to the fullest. Thanks to your kindness, we will now have the essential tools to help bring that vision to life.

The 11" x 16" red line whiteboards will make a tremendous difference for my students. These boards will provide hands-on opportunities to practice reading and writing, helping students strengthen their literacy skills with active, engaging practice. The red lines offer valuable visual cues for handwriting and sentence structure, giving students the confidence to express themselves clearly and creatively.

Your contribution also helped us provide cereal bars, ensuring that our students can stay nourished, energized, and focused throughout the school day. It’s a simple but powerful way to support both their academic success and overall well-being.

Thank you again for believing in our classroom and investing in our learning journey!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Culligan

  • Morphological Awareness Part 1

    Funded Jan 17, 2024

Thank you for your extremely kind donation. Research has shown that morphological awareness positively impacts reading comprehension. Students can better comprehend what they read when they understand word parts.

Morpheme Magic and Morphemes for Little Ones will allow my students to become word scientists where they will develop deep word knowledge through the study of morphemes.

These materials will promote curiosity about how words work. It is because of your donation that my students will be able to learn more about morphemes.

Thank you again for your donation.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Culligan

  • Prize Central!

    Funded Apr 6, 2023

Thank you for your kind donation. My students are hard workers and they always put forth great effort. To reward their great effort and hard work, students can have one turn at our toy vending machine on Fridays.

The toy acorn capsules and Squishy toys have provided my students with the motivation they need to keep working hard all week long!

Friday is prize day but students know they aren't just given a prize...they need to earn it by following directions, and showing good effort on their reading and writing tasks.

The requested Squishy toys have provided the motivation for my students to keep working hard!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Culligan
