  • Learn by Seeing and Doing

    Funded Mar 29, 2012

I want to thank you for your support. The geometric shapes that my class received have been wonderful. The children understand 3 dimensional shapes clearer now. They can actually see the difference between 2-D and 3-D shapes.

The flipboards allow me to see if the children understand the differences of 2-D and 3-D shapes. They also allow me to see if the students understand and can tell how many faces, sides, edges, and vertices each shape has.

I have not only been able to use these items in my room but I am also using them with my after school tutoring kids too. A Title One Math teacher in my school has also borrowed them to use with some of her students who were struggling. We truly appreciate your support in helping us get these items that allows the students to learn by seeing and doing. ”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Siders

  • Learning Through Creative Play

    Funded Feb 4, 2012

I wanted to thank you personally for giving my students the opportunity to let their imagination and creation flow. My students were so excited when I opened the boxes at school with the new materials. They could not wait to get their hands on the magnetic blocks. They love to build and create.

Children become good listeners and learners when they work together. The materials you have helped supply for my classroom has encouraged my students to share and discuss building strategies and ideas.

I hope you truly realize how much your donation means to me and my students. We are thankful for people like you who care about the youth of today and our future leaders of tomorrow. ”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Siders

My school is a public school in a rural area. We have approximately 450 students. Our school is the only elementary school in our county. Most of our parents have to travel out of county to work. My Kindergarten classroom consists of all types of learners.Having things in my room to help the students interact and build their communication skills is a priority for me.
