Goonies, gifts, and a Good Pair of Ear Plugs.
Funded Oct 6, 2024I can’t tell you how grateful I am for these, much needed headphones. We have several online programs where these are so needed.
The books will also be a cherished addition to our school. Our walls are so thin. They will be loved and well used.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!!”

Get Up and Learn!
Funded Mar 27, 2018I first want to say Thank you! My students are already using the resources you have provided for our classroom. The wobble chairs are so helpful for students that need to move. The coding and Osmo activities are so helpful for my advanced students. The coding project has specifically helped a bright student that spent most of this winter indoors. He loved the coding, found joy in it, and quickly excelled.
When my students first saw the equipment and activities they couldn't have been happier. They played and explored the wobble chairs and were very fascinated with the Osmo and its potential. Again, the coding was specifically exciting to them.
Next year, I will be working with gifted and talented children. They do not have all of the resources I will need to teach them. However, the flexible seating and Osmo programs will help me be off to a great start. Thank you again for supporting me and my students. Your gift is treasured.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Walk
This classroom project was brought to life by Ripple.Special Tools for Special Kids
Funded Oct 12, 2017Thank you again for your donation and support to our classroom. The seating is helping a disabled student have flexible seating more like his peers. The students and myself, will enjoy the seating tools for many years to come.
The Echo is helping with spelling, emergency response, timers, and answering many questions that come from six year-old students. The Osmo game will be a great addition to center time, class time extensions, and teaching fractions. We are so excited to use this technology in our room and for many years and with dozens of children.
My students are especially excited to spell their own words (ECHO) and become more independent understanding the world around them. I love that this technology will be here for a long time.”

We've Gone Common Core Crazy!
Funded Dec 4, 2013Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Our grant was fully funded! I can't fully express my joy, excitement, and thanks for your donation to my project. It is great to see that you share my excitement for reaching children.
The tools that you have funded will enable students to engage, explore, and explain their own ideas with these tools. In addition, I will be able to teach more to the New Common Core. The Smartboard DVDs will be a huge asset when working in small group and whole class instruction. The children love the Language Art activities. The Language Art games, Magnetic Letters, and Roller Coaster Games will also be a great learning and teaching tool!
I hope to share with my colleagues these new techniques as well. Thank you so much. I can't wait to introduce these tools to the children.”

Rock and Roll with Math, Science, and More!!
Funded Dec 8, 2012Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Our class is so grateful for your financial donation to our classroom. Because of your gift, our classroom has new science and math books, a wonderful rock collection, math and literacy games, and a beautiful new carpet where we can all meet together.
The books help us to explore the world outside the four walls of our classroom. The rock collections give our students the opportunity to have "hands on" experiences with all different types and textures of rock. We have already learned about fossils, volcanoes, sediment, heat and pressure; just by observing your gift. The math and literacy games give chances to play with math and reading. These encourage my students to have fun learning while challenging others. We all love learning together on the large, new carpet! It is so fun for each student to have a leaf on our tree to sit on while reading, learning, and playing together. It is so large, in fact, that one of my students will often lie down in the back and has enough room to not bother others.
I am personally grateful for all of these items! This is my first grant from Donors Choose. It has given me more hope in mankind. Through this grant, I have learned that there are people in this country that care about the education of our next generation, many people want to help me succeed as a teacher, and they care enough to lighten my own financial burden by helping my classroom. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you, again!!!”
