Our school is 52% White and 72% of the students qualify for free or reduced lunch program. Although most of our students are white, many of those “white” students come from homes in which the primary language spoken is Armenian, so they have little or no educational support outside of classroom time in English. As a former English Learner student I am extremely passionate about our school and I believe our kids can continue to make strong gains on standardized tests and as well-rounded young men and women if they are provided with the resources they need to be successful.
