My students are 7th and 8th graders taking New Media or Introduction to Computers as an elective class. They are a wonderful group of spirited students who can't wait to express their creativity in digital form. John Burroughs Middle School is a Title 1 school with a large percentage of English learners. There is a wide variety of ethnicity's and socioeconomic backgrounds, with about one third African American, one third Hispanic and one third Korean students.
