  • Drone Speed!

    Funded Nov 13, 2024

We are incredibly grateful to the generous donors who have contributed drones to enhance our STEM programs. This exciting gift gives students hands-on experience with cutting-edge technology, deepening their understanding of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

By integrating drones into our curriculum, students can explore fields like robotics, coding, and aerodynamics, preparing them for future careers in STEM. This donation will inspire and empower the next generation of innovators, helping students develop the practical skills needed for success in a rapidly evolving world.”

  • Carrying The Future

    Funded Jan 24, 2012

The donation of backpacks has had a meaningful impact on our students, providing both practical support and emotional encouragement. For many families, back-to-school expenses can be a challenge, and receiving a new backpack alleviates this burden. Students now have the necessary tools to stay organized and prepared for class, which allows them to focus on their studies. This thoughtful gesture also fosters a sense of belonging, boosting self-esteem and motivation. It promotes equity, ensuring all students have access to the same resources, and strengthens our school community. We are incredibly grateful for this generous gift.”

  • In the Back but Sitting Tall!

    Funded Sep 2, 2022

Thank you so much for the donation, when students saw the high tables and chairs in the back, they felt like they were in front. As I stood in the front of the room, students sat tall in the back with more confidence and wanting to participate. This has meant so much to them and me, we feel more together in the same room. There are times when students move the chairs and stand to do their work and collaborate together. I love seeing how comfortable they have become. Thank you again for your kindness :)”

  • It's a Bird, It's a Plane, No It's a DRONE!

    Funded Nov 10, 2021

All I can say right now is WOW! You all have made our learning dreams come true. This drone has sparked interest in stem careers for our students. I started to bring out drone during lunch to see what students would say. I heard "Ms. I've always wanted to learn to fly one." This sparked collaboration with our after school program. We are continuing this excitement, by starting a club with our after school program. We have students on a waiting list because they were so excited. Thank you for the Drone! Again, THANK YOU so much for supporting our class!”

  • Are You Using Your Finger to Write? No Wonder....

    Funded Feb 22, 2021

Thank you for your generous donation of Apple pencils! My students have begun to discover that with the Apple pencils, they are able to take notes, draw pictures and so much more.

One student discovered her love for fashion design and has began to explore a career in fashion. Other students have even taken their learning to the next level by teaching teachers how to use their Apple pencils. Learning has come to life for my middle schoolers because of generous people like you. This donation was given while teaching and learning was happening remotely, you sent my students a spark when they truly needed it. Thank you!”

  • Do You Hear Me Now?

    Funded Sep 21, 2020

The use of wireless headphones with noise canceling allows students to stay focused during remote learning. Many students have siblings that are also in zoom classes. The headphones have helped students stay centered and more focused.

The most exciting part of the new product is that students are taking ownership of them and are taking pride in their work. They have become more motivated to connect with their zoom classes and many have begun to use their cameras. A sense of ownership and pride has overcome them.

Most of my students are very shy and rarely turn on cameras, I have seen their faces more often now that they have these headphones.”

Our middle school has 1400 11-13 year olds eager to learn! 1/3 of our students are homeless and 100% receive free lunch. Although our students have many barriers like poverty, gangs and homelessness our students still strive to be the best. For the past three years our school (students) have proven not only are we dedicated but nothing will stop us! We have grown over 60 points on the CST. Our community is tight and are always willing to do more to contribute to our neighborhood.
