Kids Want Books! They are Waiting for These Books!

Thank you for your donation to our project. We got our books, processed and cataloged them and have been circulating them to our students for over a month! They love having new books, especially the ones they requested. Now we have over twenty new books that our students want to read.
We are grateful for the "kindness of strangers" and we will enjoy the new books for years to come. Thanks for your support. We hope to write another project for even more books as soon as possible and would love to have your help again. The students get so excited over new books and being the first to read them, that I will try to keep adding new books to our library to keep them reading.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Wasserman Foundation and 3 other donors.

Our students are local; they live right around our school. We are a Title 1 school because over 80% of our kids get free or reduced price lunch. East Valley is a small school and is only in its sixth year. We want to get more new books of interest to our patrons and encourage them to read! One of the standards we are trying to achieve is having each student read 2,000,000 words per year and having new, interesting books will encourage our students to achieve this standard.
