Post Covid Classroom
Funded Sep 21, 2020Thank you so much for your generous donation! Whilentechnology was a crucial element of instruction during quarantine, it is stilll how I present my lessons in person. Students use digital manipulatives on their IPad, watch videos, and play skill-based games. The digital format help keep my room sanitary.
At home, the students were often in noisy environments and had trouble focusing. These headphones allow my students to have a quiet learning environment while they are at school. Every student is now able to have their own headphones so they don't need to be sanitized in between use.
All my students love the comfort and feel of these headphones. They also love that they are wireless. Thank you again for making this possible for my students!”

Funded Aug 7, 2019Although most of you use technology at home on a daily basis, many of my students do not have access to technology at home. School is the only opportunity they have to use technology. With high stakes testing being administered online, and careers centered around technology, my students need every opportunity to learn these skills through learning games, research projects, and group powerpoint presentations. Your generous gift will help me accomplish that!
My students were very intrigued by the fact that these particular chromebooks fold flat. If they have any devices at home they have tablets, so they are used to them laying flat.
My English Learners are especially impacted by this. They love the digital learning games, and working collaboration with classmates. Thank you for your generosity!”

Funded Oct 30, 2017Thank you so much for your generous donations. For many of my students, school is the only place they have access to technology. The technology at our school is often outdated and spread thin, so having a set of new chromebooks in my classroom has been inspiring to my students.
The first thing my students noticed is that they are brand new, so they were all eager to use them. They also like the fact that they are lightweight and portable. My special education student were especially drawn to the technology. Normally they will shut down when the work is difficult, but they are now motivated to persevere.
They are using the chromebooks for routine skill practice in language arts and math on a daily basis, as well as keyboarding practice. They are being used for group projects as well. Currently, we are studying animal habitats, and they are using the chromebooks to research their animal, as well as creating a group PowerPoint presentation. None of this would be possible without your generosity! Thank you.”
With gratitude,
