Funded Dec 4, 2024Rest is essential for children's overall well-being, and for those with sensory needs, having a calm, secure place to rest plays a key role in helping them regulate their emotions and sensory experiences. The donated cots provided a peaceful, dedicated space for children to take restorative naps, which helped reduce sensory overload and improved their ability to focus and engage throughout the day. Thanks to these cots, our children are able to fully recharge, better equipping them to manage sensory challenges.
The sensory tiles also offered a safe, structured way for children to explore their surroundings and discover their sensory preferences. By engaging multiple senses (touch, sight), the tiles helped children with autism develop their sensory processing skills. These tiles also supported emotional regulation, reduced anxiety, and encouraged positive sensory exploration. Together, the cots and sensory tiles created an environment that nurtured learning, play, and self-expression, empowering our children to feel more in control of their sensory experiences.
We are deeply grateful for your generosity—it has made a huge impact in our classroom.”
With gratitude,
