• Lighting Up Our Community

  Funded May 8, 2024

  Thank you so much for your generous donation! Your kindness is appreciated. This project was able to be enjoyed by the entire community as it lit up our school and stadium during nighttime sporting events. My students were so excited to help get them set up. Community building is a goal in our school, and being able to be a a part of the excitement brings such joy to us educators.

  Whenever we get a project funded through Donors Choose, we look forward to teaching our class to "pay it forward". One good deed deserves another! Thank you again for not only your monetary donation, but the life lesson you give to our students!”

• STEM On the Go

  Funded May 22, 2024

  I can not express how grateful I am for your generous donation to our school! To be able to have this portable tv l, which allows us to use apps, project our projects over the screen and visually adjust our visuals manually during g competition is an invaluable item which has enhanced our program.

  The moment we opened this item and got it set up, the students took to it immediately! We got right to business! The first step was downloading the necessary apps to make sure our STEM Team was ready for competition! Once that was done we were ready to build, create and win!

  Without your kindness.. our team would not have been as successful as we were in competition!”

• Creating an Urban Garden on Earth Day!

  Funded May 11, 2024

  Thank you so much for your contribution to our urban garden. Our students were able to learn how to grow vegetables and sustain them throughout the summer. We created a club which worked together to decide which vegetables would grow the best in our environment.

  When the shipment first arrived they were beyond excited. They worked with the junior high students to create the garden structure. They then researched gardening tools, where to place the garden and how to separate the vegetables to make sure they could grow successfully!

  Our first year was a success and we look forward to growing season again this Spring!

• Cheering You On

  Funded Dec 4, 2023

  This project being fully funded was such a wonderful surprise! Our cheerleaders are so grateful and ready to practice, and bring forth all of the wonderful surprises that they will be able to bring to our community during our high school football and basketball games. The supplies are something that is not readily available throughout our school system so purchasing them was such an amazing experience. Being a low income district, many of our cheerleaders do not have the ability to attend tumbling or cheer clinics so by having this materials, we are able to bring our clinics to our school. I am so grateful for the opportunity for our students to be able to experience the joy of team sports because of you.”

• Furniture for Fun Learning

  I can not thank you enough for your generosity. Through this project my students are able to achieve success and have the ability to discuss their diversity and experiences together in a safe space. Having this furniture has created a welcoming learning environment with easy access to all of materials. Students self confidence improve when they have the needed supplies to let them succeed!

  Because of people like you, our students are able to have items which they may not have the opportunity to access. Through Donors Choose, I am able to show my students the kindness of others and I promise to teach them how to "pay it forward"”
