  • STEM: The Art of Butterflies

    Funded Nov 13, 2024

Spring is here and it's the perfect time to study about nature. When the butterfly larvae arrived, the students were utterly excited. It seemed foreign to them to see the tiny larvae in the plastic containers. However, they have instantly been attracted to them and have enjoyed making observations about what they notice is happening to the larvae as time progresses.

They are able to think like a scientists and share their findings about the larvae. They notice all kinds of things like how some enjoy staying on the lid or how another likes to make tunnels in the food. They love sharing with their table partner about what they see and the changes that are taking place.

Thank you for giving them this wonderful experience. It really has made such an impactful difference in our classroom.”

  • Learning With Fun Supplies

    Funded Sep 4, 2024

I can't begin to tell you how much the students have loved using the materials you provided for them. We usually do art on "Fun Fridays" and they cheer when we pass out the sketch books. Their artwork has improved so much since they have begun using the sketch books.

In addition to doing art on Fun Fridays, the students also are able to enjoy the tiles and Play-Doh. I give them a choice and often it is a challenging decision since both are so fun for them.

We are so thankful that you generously gave us these materials to help us stay engaged and have fun at school.”

  • Kids Just Want to Have Fun

    Funded May 8, 2024

The students are having so much fun with the new resources. It really makes a huge difference to have markers that work well. They've used the dry erase markers in our small group time. They love writing words and sentences with them and think it's amazing that they can be erased.

They've been able to use the Crayola markers to color their artwork and add colorful designs in their illustrations. I've been gently reminding them to remember to put the cap back on so that we can use them for a long time. So far they've done a good job. Thank you again for providing these resources for my students!”

  • Insects and Animals

    Funded Apr 22, 2024

Thank you for providing all these wonderful resources for my students. They have been enjoying the books and learning so much about insects and animals. They recently wrote an informational article on butterflies and the books gave them interesting details to add to their writing. The photographs in the books gave them ideas for their own illustrations.

I am so grateful that I have these resources to share with my current students and will be able to have my future students enjoy them as well.”

  • Artists in the Making

    Funded Mar 28, 2024

The students are loving their new materials. They often ask me if they can draw in their sketchbooks. We just recently had Open House and the parents were amazed at the students' growth in their artwork. Now that we have these sketchbooks, students will have the opportunity to create even more amazing art.

Thank you so much for supporting this project and giving so generously. It gives me such a warm feeling inside to know that people like you are making it happen for teachers like me. I am grateful for your giving heart and my students are thanking you as well from the bottom of theirs.”

  • A Calming Space

    Funded Oct 12, 2023

This year has been going by quickly, but I wanted to take a moment to thank you. I'm so grateful for the resources that you helped give to my students. It has made a difference in creating a calm space and an environment in which they all can thrive.

They were all smiles when they saw the stuffed plush and flowers. They all wanted a chance to sit on the soft and fuzzy rug. These little touches have added so much to our classroom and our well-being.

From my students and myself, I hope you know how much you are appreciated. Thank you for your generosity and support.”

  • Brilliant Books and Beautiful Butterflies

    Funded Mar 30, 2023

I can't tell you how much my students have enjoyed these books about butterflies. They truly are amazed about what they have learned and have a new found appreciation for these amazing creatures. Sometimes they will spot a butterfly at school or in their neighborhood and immediately try to identify the butterfly. They wouldn't be able to do that without these invaluable resources.

Some of my students have difficulty with reading but these books are filled with great illustrations of butterflies which are helpful to these emergent readers. It has been a motivating factor for them in wanting to read more so they can gain more knowledge about butterfly identification and facts.

We are so grateful to you for these resources that you have provided to help us in our learning.”

  • Ready...Set...Charge Chromebooks !

    Funded Feb 3, 2022

Thank you for giving my students this gift of a charging station for their chrome books. It was definitely a process in getting it and all the pieces and then putting them altogether but now that it's here my students have benefited greatly. They know how to find their chrome books and keep them organized in their spot. But more importantly the chrome books are charged and ready for them to be used each day whenever we need them to complete our assignments and other academic tasks.

We all appreciate you and your generous donations.”

  • Kids Just Want To Have Fun

    Funded Dec 1, 2021

I can't tell you how much the students have been enjoying using the materials we have received. When I first showed the students the badminton rackets they were oohing and aah-ing and couldn't wait to get their hands on them. Many of them had never played badminton before so it was a brand new experience for them. They absolutely loved trying to hit the birdie to their friends.

The Play-doh has been a joy for them as well. They enjoy creating little figures and showing their classmates what they have made.

Thank you for giving them these wonderful materials.”

  • Keeping Up With Technology

    Funded Jun 2, 2021

What a difference new technology makes! Although I don't have to Zoom every single day as I did before I am still using a laptop on a daily basis to share lessons or other interesting things I find online for my students. Every morning my students get a better understanding of their own feelings and the feelings of others with lessons on social-emotional learning such as empathy, perseverance, and teamwork. There's usually a short video to watch that captures their attention on the subject at hand.

Students are also able to participate in the many art lessons that show them how to draw at their pace. They have the most fun with these lessons because it allows them to have a piece of artwork that they're proud of and to be creative in adding their own finishing touches to their masterpiece.

Thank you for your generosity in providing the students with these learning opportunities and many others. Having the technology to carry it out has made such a huge impact in how I can teach and makes it all the more engaging for my students.”
