Students with disabilities learn using a variety of teaching techniques. The xoom tablet would allow me to use various hands on activities for the differentiation needed in my Special Education classroom. My classroom consist of below grade level students each with different learning styles. My students have a hunger to learn, but many have given up. Our school consist of many low income students who have little motivation within the home. Many of my students spend their days at their home. Vacations are never experienced. Many have never been out to eat or to the movies. Their real world experiences are extremely limited. The xoom offers a quick user friendly way to explore the world in addition to the many educational resources available for hands on learning activities.
