A Seat at the Table
Funded Dec 31, 2024I am so thankful for your generosity my students and I will remember you in our hearts when we use our table. What a wonderful way to start the new year for them and for me feeling grateful for our larger community. Again, we really can’t thank you enough for your kind donation.”

Funded Jan 8, 2020Thank you very much for the generous gift of the Fountas & Pinnell Benchmark System A-N for our school. Our students require instruction that is differentiated to their needs in order to experience success with reading. Most of them have experienced difficulty accessing school. For many of them this is due to not being fluent readers.
Now that it has arrived, the Fountas and Pinnell system will allow me to provide specific directed instructional strategies that support reading improvement over time. This assessment system will support the growth of so many students in need. Our students are already excited about advancing their reading skills.
Finally, students are learning about the importance of generosity. Your generous gift helped them to realize that they live in a world where people care about each other. They recognized that others care for them, even people who haven't met them. They feel as though they are a part of a larger society that cares for children and wants them to be successful. Thank you very much for making their lives easier!”
With gratitude,

Clean Learning Part II
Funded Apr 18, 2019Thank you very much for the generous gift of the Dryer for our school. Our students must wear a uniform to school every day, and quite often they are unable to find and locate clean clothing. It may be that their families can only afford one or two uniform shirts and we have five days of school. It may be that the laundromat is not in a safe place and they or their family is unable to get to it. It may be other reasons, but we wanted to take all those reasons away.
Since the Dryer arrived, students have had far less uniform infractions. We are able to keep clean and dry clothing at school for them to wear. Students are smelling better, feeling better, and better able to learn. Students who do not have clean clothing are able to bring in their dirty clothing and we launder it for them.
