The students in my classroom are second graders who attend school in a low socioeconomic area. They have very limited access to new and engaging literature in the classroom library. My students are avid readers who enjoy reading books such as, Diary of the Wimpy Kid, Captain Underpants, and Junie B. Jones. Unfortunately many of their favorite books are tattered, torn, or there is only one copy of the book for a class of 24 students.
