Say Cheese!
Funded May 6, 2024Thank you so much for providing our classroom with a camera to capture any and all things picture-related. When the package arrived, it was ready for immediate use, which has been most helpful.
At our school, we utilize the Zones of Regulation program. This provides students with opportunities to express their feelings as well as participate in our emotions poster. Each student is able to move their picture to the emotion that best describes their mood. Afterward, they are able to talk about why they may be feeling that way. We were able to use the camera to take their pictures for the poster. Since then, students have loved coming in daily to move their pictures to match their daily emotions. It's been two months since we started this, and my students comment on the pictures as if they are brand new. It's the cutest observation!
In addition to learning, we have also been able to use the camera to take pictures of students performing at events, having a good time at recess, and random days of project engagement. What I love most is the fact that I can take a picture from my phone and print it on the camera, thanks to the Bluetooth feature. Students who have cell phones but are trying to clear their memory have enjoyed this feature as well. With the goal being to create lasting memories, this camera has not disappointed us at all.
We have been having a really fun time with the resources from this project and owe it all to you. Thank you so much for thinking about us!”

Funded Sep 18, 2024This is my 3rd project being funded in one day, and I couldn't be happier. Thanks to you, our battery-operated resources will be back in use and can be used for what they were intended to do.
I am also thankful because the TpT gift card will provide additional supplemental resources for ALL of my learners, regardless of their abilities. This will assist me with implementing a more seamless approach to my instructional delivery.
Thank you so much for considering the needs of our learners!”

Funded May 7, 2024The previous school year was one for the books! However, we managed to coast to the end of the school year successfully with our end-of-the-year Literacy Program party. The celebration wouldn't have been as great without your thoughtfulness. On behalf of me and my students, thank you so very much!
Hands down, the bubble machine was the best resource. It was originally designed for the celebration, but we were able to share it with the entire school community on Field Day. This ended up being such a hit with our early childhood students. They never became tired of the bubble machine to the point where we had to bring a computer outside to be able to charge it for continued use. It was really the best!
We still have several glowsticks, which we will use throughout the school year to support school-based initiatives. It is safe to say that we have enough of these materials to use throughout the school year. In addition to this project being funded, we were blessed to receive a huge donation from Rita's Italian Ice in which participants in the program had a sweet and cold treat on a hot day! If you were to ask my students, that was another highlight!
We had a great time and the weather was very accommodating for the event. We truly appreciate you for taking the time to consider the needs of students' fun time as well as educational programming!”

Funded Apr 21, 2024Thank you so much for providing us with our last round of snacks from the previous school year! When this project was funded, students were beginning to teeter out from a school year full of learning and fun. So naturally, when we reached the last month of the school year, the energy resurfaced, and the days didn't appear too long.
Having a snack break during the middle of the day has also helped us reset our day and get back into action. At times, students may not bring a lunch to school and may only sometimes desire what is being offered as a school lunch. While they have a few options, some may only take a few bites of what they eat and discard them in the garbage. Having a snack alternative later in the day has also contributed to more participation in student learning.
Thank you very much for your thoughtful consideration of our students' needs. Your support has not only provided nourishment during the school day but also extended to after-school activities and even when they return home. Your generosity is deeply appreciated.”

Funded Nov 29, 2023Thank you so much for renewing my membership to the Council for Exceptional Children. I have been a member of this organization for nearly five years, and each year, I am able to apply several learning strategies to my classroom instruction.
The purpose of my dissertation centered around ways in which co-teaching practices could be strengthened to support students with disabilities in inclusion classrooms. Membership to the Council of Exceptional Children not only provided me with the opportunity to have quality citations as I was completing my final research paper for my dissertation. It also provided me access to webinars centering around inclusion practices and supporting students with disabilities.
Last month, I successfully defended my dissertation. The resources, coupled with the network that this membership provided, have all helped me complete my study and present it to the Educational Department and practitioners at my university. This could not have been achieved without your assistance in funding this project.
Although this project was categorized as professional development, there is a direct link between this membership and students classroom experiences. Being a member provides practitioners with opportunities for shared instruction, educational conferences, and references to literature, which all support inclusionary practices for students with disabilities.
Thank you so much for also considering the needs of teachers' professional development and the needs of students with disabilities! I hope you enjoy a glimpse of the learners for whom I do all of this. You are very much appreciated!”

Funded Oct 29, 2023Thank you so much! Words can't express the impact that technology has in a classroom. With this resource you funded, I can extend my learning and instruction for my group of learners. When this project was created, I needed a better computer whose ports were compatible with the school issued technology. This computer didn't disappoint for numerous reasons.
Whether it's a learning video on the Really Great Reading website, accessing videos and resources from BrainPop, or being able to show science experiments before creating our own, this computer has been a huge asset for all of us. We were able to sustain our reading initiative program, and students were able to access their literacy programs on Lexia and iReady platforms. An added bonus for me is that I was able to link the pictures from my phone and transfer them to the computer, allowing me more storage for my family events.
Your contribution to this project has been invaluable. We are truly grateful for your support and for providing us with an additional piece of technology to improve instruction. Thank you for believing in our mission and your commitment to improving education.”

Funded Dec 12, 2023Thank you so much for funding our project, which is designed to provide afterschool snacks to students participating in our Afterschool Literacy Program. Although our program is still in session, we have appreciated being able to have supplemental snacks for students enrolled in extended learning.
It has been a hit-or-miss situation regarding school-issued snacks for after school. Sometimes, the selections are plentiful, in which students request and receive seconds and thirds. However, there are also times when resources are limited, and even one serving does not satisfy student hunger. Thanks to your support, when those times arise, students are met with some of their favorite snack items, which help keep them engaged in afterschool reading lessons. You should know that the afterschool teachers are also appreciative as their sessions have resulted in fewer hungry students.
It is not easy to engage in an extra hour of school after being present the entire day. However, with an amazing group of teachers, student effort, and the snacks that you have funded, we have seen a huge improvement in our students' reading abilities in grades K-2. We couldn't be more appreciative of everyone's efforts.
Thank you so much for providing nourishment to our afterschool group of learners. We appreciate you taking the time to consider the needs of our learners, even after the school day has ended!”

We're Almost There!
Funded Oct 27, 2023Thank you so very much for adding an additional iPad to our classroom. This one addition has made a world of difference in differentiating instruction for my small group of learners. As soon as the iPad arrived, we opened the package and began using it immediately.
An iPad is much easier for my younger students to navigate through their learning apps in school. With some unfamiliar with keyboards and having to search for the various letters and numbers to make up their username and password, the iPad takes care of it for them. This provides them with easier access to the tools required for their learning. We also wanted a resource compatible with our learning apps in school, and the iPad didn't disappoint. This year, we have started utilizing a reading app called Lexia. We are beginning to see huge changes in student performance when we couple this program with the instructions from our wonderful team of teachers in the building.
In addition to my duties throughout the school day, I manage our afterschool reading program to support reading acquisition. When needed, students participating in the program can also use the iPad. We truly see the benefits of one additional resource with our learners. This could not have been achieved without your efforts!
Thank you so much for making sure that we all have access to our learning!”

Funded Nov 8, 2023Thank you so much for funding our Afterschool Fun project! When this project was funded, we were at the beginning stages of our Afterschool Literacy Program. We were looking for resources for students to engage in and apply to their learning. If we were lucky, we were hoping for a resource that would also double as something fun. Thanks to you, our mission has been accomplished.
My students LOVE the Boogie Boards, and it helps that we added a stylus for them. We have been able to use these during the day during my small group instruction in reading and math. In math, it has been helpful for students to learn concepts such as single addition, addition with regrouping, and place value. For reading, we have been able to use it for spelling and identifying sounds that are heard. It has been really fun to see my students manipulate the boogie board with ease and efficiency!
I learned about these boards from a student who brought her own Boogie Board during the first month of school. I was fascinated by its features and thought it would be a great tool for students to use in our Afterschool program. At the time, I didn't know how much of a hit it would be during the day. An added bonus is that my students who are artists can practice their drawing. It's a win-win for all of us. We plan on using the Circuit after Spring Break once we complete our annual testing. I am hoping that students will enjoy being able to create their designs and put them on mugs and t-shirts.
Thank you so much for making our learning fun!”
