A Seat at the Table
Funded Mar 25, 2025Thank you so much for giving us a seat at the table! We are two months into our temporary swing space, and we need some space! The benches that you have provided will assist us with additional comfort and outside learning as the weather warms up. Once they arrive, I know my students are going to be excited.
Thank you so very much for giving us much needed seats!”

Funded Mar 25, 2025Thank you so much for funding our arts and crafts classroom project. As soon as I arrived at school this morning and shared the news with my students, everyone was all smiles. It's safe to say that we can't wait to receive the materials to begin our arts and crafts show.

Funded Mar 24, 2025You have done it again! Thank you so much for nourishing my students' bellies throughout the school day. Thanks to your single donation, we have enough snacks to last for the next two months, maybe even longer. To say this is a huge relief for my elementary school students is a complete understatement.
We appreciate you taking the time to consider the needs of our learners!”

Funded Sep 18, 2024Thank you so much for providing me with a one-year membership to the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development. It's only been a few months, and already I am beginning to maximize the benefits of the membership. It's been an exciting journey so far.
Almost one year ago, I completed my Doctorate in Education in Educational Leadership and Policy. When I consider my research on supporting diverse learners and the platform of the ASCD, I have been able to continue my research and engage in conferences with individuals who are also passionate about special education. Additionally, my membership has provided me with free resources and opportunities to publish my work. To say that I have been excited is an understatement.
Membership in this organization has also enabled me to support researchers who are passionate about matters dealing with special education, as well as learn from educators who are developing innovative and much needed strategies for academic improvement in the educational system. Although I have been teaching for quite some time, I am always happy to learn and receive new information.
Thank you again for expanding my teaching and professional development network! You are truly appreciated.”

Funded Jul 28, 2024Thank you so much for providing us with resources to sustain existing items and build new ones in our classroom. The week prior to students returning for the start of the school year was spent assembling products to prepare for the year. During this time, it felt as though I was my own version of Bob the Builder!
We love the office chair! Students enjoy taking turns being the student teacher for the day, and it's very entertaining to watch them mimic their teachers while feeling confident in their delivery. Instead of having to ask our maintenance crew for their tools, I have been successful with the electric screwdriver and drill. While the first few uses were a bit sketchy, I managed to have success in keeping my shelves sturdy. I was also easily able to place batteries in our existing learning resources. I can assure you this was a task prior to the electric screwdriver.
We have recently relocated to a temporary space while our building undergoes a much needed renovation. As we unpacked from the old building into our temporary space, I found that I was in need of using the same resources funded by this project to set up my temporary office. Although much smaller, I look forward to being able to welcome the same bunch of students into my reading nook!
Thank you so much for providing the resources to keep our classroom environment thriving!”

Funded Sep 18, 2024Thank you so very much for providing my students with our first snack haul of the school year. Per usual, when the snacks arrived, my students were happily ready to receive them. They couldn't wait to examine our new selections while storing them properly for later consumption!
This haul of snacks was a bit different than in previous years. My students have swapped out their love of Takis in exchange for "some" healthier options and it worked! While Jolly Ranchers are always going to be a candy favorite, I was surprised to see how many enjoyed the white cheddar popcorn. This time around, we also benefitted from having juice options for students who may be without a water bottle or who need an option other than milk for dietary needs.
Each time we get one of our snack projects funded, I am always thankful for how quickly it is funded, along with the smiles on my student's faces for something as small as a pack of gummy bears. This couldn't have been done without your efforts, and for that, we are truly appreciative. Thank you so much for thinking of the needs of our students!”

Funded Dec 2, 2024Thank you so much for funding my project in a matter of minutes! I can't tell you how excited I am to be a part of the AERA community in which I will be able to continue amplifying the voices of students with disabilities in inclusion classrooms. This couldn't have been done without your efforts.
Your support of my classroom during the holiday season means so much to me. Thank you so much for considering the needs of myself and my learners.”

Funded Aug 14, 2024Thank you so much for our Scholastic and StoryWorks Magazines. This is my first year using these resources at my current school, and it has been going so well with my 1st and 2nd-grade students. As soon as I received the first installment of magazines, I began searching for ways to provide learning opportunities related to school content.
What I love most about StoryWorks is that there are multiple stories that are accessible to all of my readers in the classroom. Additionally, students are able to be exposed to various informational texts, which leads to many pathways to learning new vocabulary. As for my students, they love seeing kids who look just like them report on current events or even be the main characters in many of the short stories.
Using Scholastic helps my students to be in the know of all things current events. An added bonus is that there are several quizzes and an online platform for us to dig deeper into learning. Based on the faces of some of my students and the pictures, you will be able to see that a good time is being had in our classroom with the magazines!
This is truly a resource that will have great utility throughout the school year. Students have already started to ask if they could take the magazines home, and little do they know, we will receive a new one each month. So, the answer is a resounding yes! Thank you again!”

Funded Jun 23, 2024Thank you so much for funding my project for the Praxis Reading Specialist exam. Last month, I completed the exam, and while I await my scores, I want to extend my appreciation for getting me this far in my journey.
Completion of the exam will solidify my passion and commitment to ensuring students of all abilities and grade levels are able to acquire the tools for reading acquisition. There are so many new trends in reading that are being implemented in classrooms, and while some elements may stay, many components are different. As more and more students enter classrooms behind in reading, it is important to be able to address and attempt to remedy the situation.
I hope you enjoy snapshots of the students who I do all of this for. We have a really great time learning together while having a bit of fun. Thank you again for funding my professional development project to become a Reading Specialist. You are truly appreciated!”

Say Cheese!
Funded May 6, 2024Thank you so much for providing our classroom with a camera to capture any and all things picture-related. When the package arrived, it was ready for immediate use, which has been most helpful.
At our school, we utilize the Zones of Regulation program. This provides students with opportunities to express their feelings as well as participate in our emotions poster. Each student is able to move their picture to the emotion that best describes their mood. Afterward, they are able to talk about why they may be feeling that way. We were able to use the camera to take their pictures for the poster. Since then, students have loved coming in daily to move their pictures to match their daily emotions. It's been two months since we started this, and my students comment on the pictures as if they are brand new. It's the cutest observation!
In addition to learning, we have also been able to use the camera to take pictures of students performing at events, having a good time at recess, and random days of project engagement. What I love most is the fact that I can take a picture from my phone and print it on the camera, thanks to the Bluetooth feature. Students who have cell phones but are trying to clear their memory have enjoyed this feature as well. With the goal being to create lasting memories, this camera has not disappointed us at all.
We have been having a really fun time with the resources from this project and owe it all to you. Thank you so much for thinking about us!”
