Campaigning For Multiculturalism And Civil Rights!
Funded Apr 16, 2013I would like to thank everyone who donated to this project. Thanks to your generosity my students were able to learn about important political leaders who have made an important impact on our society. They also learned about different cultures and acceptance of those cultures that are different than theirs. My students were able to make campaign buttons promoting civil rights leaders like Cesar Chavez and Martin Luther King. Thank you once again for your extreme generosity and in helping my students learn about this important topic.”

Funded Oct 17, 2012Do you remember when you were a 1st grader, how easy it was to lose focus, and become distracted? Children are naturally curious, and can easily lose focus. That is why the timers, and Yacker Tracker that your donation helped purchase have been such a wonderful addition to our classroom environment. The small timers help my students keep track of their time on the computers and other learning games, and the big timer is a great resource for me to help me stay on task as well. Once again I would like to thank you for donating to our project.”

Funded Jan 25, 2013Thank you once again to everyone who has kindly donated to this project. Thanks to your generosity, my students and I have a laminator and ink cartridges to help make fun durable learning games, and to help keep our materials organized and durable. We have only had the laminator in our class for a few weeks, but the impact that it has already had in my class is wonderful. I print and laminate all the file folder games that students are able to use during their independent work time, while I work with a small group. Thank you once again for your generosity and helping my students”

Funded Apr 23, 2012I would like to thank everyone who has donated to this project. You have no idea of the positive impact that these DVDs and Cd's have had in my classroom. All my students cheer when they are going to view a DVD. We view the DVDs in the morning during breakfast time, while I am checking their homework. Many of my students are very visual learners, therefore looking at concepts that they need to learn in a variety of ways helps them retain the concept. By using the DVD player and academic DVDs my students reinforce the alphabet, letter sounds, sight words and so much more. The best thing about the DVDs is that they entertain my students. When they work in an independent center with the DVD players, I can be assured that my students are learning! Thank you once again for your very generous donation to our project.”

Funded May 31, 2012Once again I would like to thank you for donating to our project. We have had the Leapfrog Tag Readers and books in our class for a couple of months now and my students love them. I love the fact that the readers help my students read books by sounding out words or reading the story to them. My students truly enjoy using the readers, whenever they finish their work they ask if they can use the readers while the other students are done. I know that the readers are very entertaining but most importantly educational and help my students progress in their reading skills. The interactive pen and books guide them through independent reading time. I am extremely grateful that thanks to generous people like you, I am able to reach all of my students, regardless of their academic level. I applaud your efforts and contribution to our children's education. Thank you once again!”

Bullies, Bullies No More!
Funded Apr 9, 2012Once again I would like to thank you for your generous donation it's been a couple of months since we received our books on bulling, and the math games in our classroom, and let me tell you that they have been great! The math games that you helped fund have provided my students with fun, entertaining ways to help them review their math skills. From the bulling books my students have learned what it means to be a bully and strategies on how not to be a bully and positive ways to defend them against a bully. Thank you once again for donating to our project and getting these wonderful tools in the hands of eager young learners.”

Funded Feb 2, 2012I would like to take the time to thank everyone who donated to this project. The Leap Pad Explorers and games that you generously donated to us have been a great success among the students. These new learning tools have helped my students in so many wonderful ways. The students are allowed to use the Leap Pad Explorers as a learning center activity during language arts and math time, when their work is completed. Some reading and math skills can be difficult to master, but I know that the Leap Pad Explorers are greatly benefiting my students with these skills. Your kindness is giving my students the chance to learn at their own pace, while playing games that are not violent, but fun and engaging. While the students have fun and are entertained, they are enhancing these skills that will follow them throughout their academic careers. Once again thank you for your kindness and support.”

Keep Move, Move, Moving!
Funded Jan 31, 2012I can't begin to express what your gift means to my students and myself. With your help my students are able to be physically active while being engaged and having fun at the same time, most importantly they are building life skills that will be with them throughout their lives. The materials that your generosity helped fund are helping my students refine their balancing, moving, passing, kicking and throwing skills. Your generosity is helping twenty-one students develop regular physical activity routines that will help them build a foundation for a long healthy active life. Thank you so much your wonderful donation to our class project. ”

Funded Jan 23, 2012Once again I would like to take the time to thank everyone who donated to this project. The CD players and books that you generously donated to us have helped my students in so many ways and I thank you for your kindness and support.
I had first intended to have the students use the listening library as a learning center activity during Language Arts time. After seeing how excited each and every one of the students was about listening to a book that they wanted to stay in the classroom during their recess time I allowed the students to use the listening center throughout the school day, if and when their work was completed. Each time a student listens to a story on CD and "reads" along with the book, it helps build their decoding, fluency, and intonation skills I feel that no matter the time of day they are gaining knowledge that will help them in the long run.
Reading is not an easy skill to master, but I know that the listening center will defiantly make reading fun and enjoyable for my students. Thank You!
