  • Not All Books Are Created Equal

    Funded Jan 30, 2012

Thanks to your support and generous donations an audio book section has been added to my students' classroom library. These audio books include many high interest and very popular book titles among my fifth-grade students. All my students have the opportunity of taking these audio books home and listen to them as part of their daily reading. I also provide the opportunity for some of my students to listen to these books during our readers' workshop.

Having a classroom library with a wide range of reading levels and subjects is essential to meet my students' reading needs, these audio books have created excitement and motivation among my students to listen to and read the many book that are part of our classroom library. Thank you for your support, my students greatly appreciate the new resources you helped bring to our classroo”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Oran

  • Bringing Science to Life

    Funded Jan 1, 2012

I would like to thank you for your generous donation to my classroom. My fifth grade class now have access to a human torso and heart model. These models already created great excitement and curiosity about the human body among my students. My students could not wait to get their hands on the models to manipulate and identify their different parts.

These models will be an essential resource for my students' study of the human body systems and functions. I am very grateful to you for helping me create new learning experiences to an amazing group of students this year and many more in the future. ”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Oran

My students are a very enthusiastic group of fifth grade students. This is a great group of kids that invests themselves in every learning opportunity available to them. The majority of my students have been attending their neighborhood elementary school since Pre-K, therefore they have developed a very unique feeling of camaraderie in our classroom.
