Mass In My Class!
Funded Jan 31, 2009I cannot begin to express my gratitude for your charitable donation to my classroom. The students at our elementary deserve an equitable, adequate education. With your help, they are one step closer to achieving that vision.
The triple-beam balances provided by your donation are essential to any science classroom. My students now have access to the tools necessary for computing mass, which is a significant scientific concept that covers the entire spectrum. Never before have our students been able to use a balance in order to determine an object's mass. Now they feel like real scientists using real laboratory equipment!
Students will be using these balances with their necessary 7th and 8th grade units, as well as with independent Science Fair projects for grades 6-8th. Our students are well-aware of this new valuable resource and even students whom I am not their teacher are asking me to come use our new balances. Children's inherent curiosity brings teachers one step closer to academic achievement.
Again, thank you for the opportunities that you have brought to my classroom and to our school. Your donation's significance cannot be understated. ”
With gratitude,
Mr. Bensing
Scoping It Out...
Funded Nov 20, 2008Wow, what perfect timing! Just today, I started having my students brainstorm possible Science Fair ideas. Several of my students expressed interest in biology, but, to their disappointment, discovered that our school lacked microscopes for their investigation. With the delivery of these microscopes, my students will be off to hands-on learning in no time. Thank you SO much for your donation!”
With gratitude,
Mr. Bensing
