  • I Have a Dream

    Funded Jan 31, 2012

Thank you for your generous gift of a tablet computer for my classroom. Your commitment to helping children explore and learn through technology is greatly appreciated.

The tablet computer that you donated has motivated my students to be more active in learning. We've used it to access information and visual media during whole group and small group instruction. We've also used it to reinforce concepts and skills by using educational apps and websites. My students surely have so much fun with it that they want to learn more than ever.

Your donation has brought learning to life for my students and has inspired a deeper curiosity and understanding in them. My students and I appreciate your dedication to support education through technology. Thank you very much.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Chu

  • Where Is A Book At My Reading Level?

    Funded Jan 12, 2012

Thanks to you, my students are now independent and fluent readers! Without a doubt, the use of the donated materials such as the leveled reading books and fluency cards made a tremendous impact on improving my students' reading level. Your commitment to helping children become better readers is truly appreciated by the students in my classroom.

With the new books and fluency cards, my students were able to enjoy reading at their level and successfully transition to the next level. These reading materials gave the students a wonderful opportunity to be able to choose books for themselves and feel confident reading.

Again, thank you for supporting my students' early literacy, giving them a vital skill to master, and nurturing them with knowledge and pleasure that can last a lifetime.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Chu

I teach kindergarten at a suburban area in Southern California. My school is not Title I, so we are very limited in terms of providing additional resources such as books at appropriate reading levels and fluency cards. Extra supporting materials such as these will provide a boost to move to the next reading level for my students. Although my students' interests are very diverse and their abilities range within a wide spectrum, one thing that they all have in common is a love of reading. They may express different thoughts about many things, but they all share the consensus that reading is fun. Their eyes will sparkle, especially when they hear the good news about having books at their reading level that will allow them to read independently and fluently. Furthermore, with the fluency practice cards, they will enhance their ability to read more quickly and accurately.
