  • Science in the Real World!

    Funded Nov 8, 2023

Thank you so much for your incredible help in making this project come to life. Being able to provide students with relevant news articles in science has made our classroom that much more interesting and allowed us to have more powerful discussions about the world around them. They are eager to learn and discover what has changed in the science world and look forward to our delivery each and every month. There are so many interesting articles that cover past, present, and future science endeavors. It is an amazing thing to witness and that is only possible because of my generous donors.”

  • 3D printing into the future.

    Funded Nov 11, 2022

Your generous contribution of the R QIDI TECHNOLOGY 3D printer for our science class has been a wonderful addition. Students will use this printer to print various items that they have designed using TinkerCAD.

The 3D printer has also been an excellent motivator for students this spring semester. Many have worked hard in the classroom in order to receive a 3D printed item as a reward for their progress. Some of their prizes have included a miniature pokemon, a balancing bird, and 3d printed key chains. Students are definitely excited to be able to use the 3D printer more in the future, and I really look forward to future lessons where we will be able to utilize this new technology even more.”

  • Switch Up Student Motivation!

    Funded Oct 25, 2022

My students have really enjoyed the collaboration, creativity, and problem solving we have been doing together using the Nintendo Switch! The Minecraft game, allows my students to use their creativity to make different challenges and games that others students can tryout. Thank you so much for giving to my project. I have wanted to give my students the opportunity to socialize with their peers, while playing video games during lunch in my Esports club.

Varied learning experiences are important for developing minds. When students have access to new experiences and resources they are only limited by their imaginations, and not by economic barriers. Your generous donation to purchase a Nintendo Switch and Minecraft game is providing my eSports club members with the opportunity to play, practice and bond together.”

  • Bring Science to Life with 3Doodler Create +

    Funded May 27, 2022

The 3doodler Create + pens have been an entertaining tool that my students are really enjoying using in class. The 3d pens allow my students to make tangible models and examples of the various concepts they are learning about in class. My students love how their ideas are brought to life as real physical models that they create.

The 3doodler pens have been a very enriching experience for my students since they are able to turn a simple sketch they made into something that can be felt, touched and viewed from different angles. The models my students are making will allow them to better understand the concepts of Astronomy and Chemistry.”

  • Portable Chargers for Continuous Learning

    Funded Mar 1, 2022

Due to your big hearts, my class is able to have their iPads charged and ready for learning every single day. Students do not need to worry about having to charge in school or at home.

Students no longer have to sit next to a power outlet to charge their ipads. Portable chargers allow students to continue working from their desks. Students are relieved that if they forgot to charge their ipad, they wont be left out of participating in lessons that require a charged technology device anymore. The portable chargers have made a big difference in my class and are always used by my students.”

  • 3D Printer- Printing Students Ideas in 3D.

    Funded Nov 10, 2021

Thank you for contributing to our classroom! Having a 3D printer was always a goal of mine. We all really appreciate you bringing this new and innovative technology into our classroom!

So far, the 3D printer has contributed to my students learning new STEM skills. They have practiced using Tinkercad to design their own models that could be printed into reality using the 3D printer. The 3d printer is inspiring my students to combine problem solving skills with creativity and innovation.

The 3D printer has also been an excellent motivator for students this school year. Students are definitely excited to be able to use the 3D printer more in the future, and I really look forward to future lessons where we will be able to utilize this new technology even more!”

A strong foundation in technology and engineering is key to developing 21st-century skills. Students are familiar with 3D printers and having access to one in class will be a first for many of these students. MakerBot replicator is a 3D printer that will help students to bring their engineering designs and models to life throughout the school year. I envision my students using this tool for everything from our engineering challenges throughout the year to creating models of their designs. Students will utilize the 3D printer in everything from designing vehicles to manufacturing manipulative items to help better understand difficult topics. We will learn to use design programs and then learn the exciting techniques of 3D printing and the building of 3D machines. 3D printing includes so many of the Next Generation Science Standards. The core principles of the NGSS can be applied to the use of 3D printing in the classroom because 3D printing gives student the opportunity to be hands-on, create experiential artifact that gives students a deep understanding of the science behind how the world works. Some of these students have never seen a 3D printer in action, let alone experience the process of learning how to design and print.
