• Classroom Writing Supplies

  Thank you so much for writing journal books. The students love writing and completing their end-of-class reflections in their books. Students use the journal books to reflect as well as write down strategies to help them later should they need a refresher. The books are also used for me to assess their learning in math and literacy. I enjoy reviewing their work at the end of each day. I can also write notes to them to help increase their learning.

• Merry ChrSMART to All!

  Thank you so much for helping me celebrate my student's learning. Motivating students is very important to me. I want them to know how I appreciate seeing them engaged in their learning. The bags were amazing and the students were so appreciative of all the books, markers, and challenging games that were given to them. I love seeing their faces light up when telling them how proud I am of them and their learning.

• Classroom Supplies

  Thank you so much for funding my project. The students love using their journal books. They had the opportunity to decorate the front of their book and they were very creative with their decorations. I love seeing them work in their book during math and reading. I can use these journal books as an assessment tool and can see their growth in each subject area. This is a great way that the students can explain their learning in writing. This is another resource tool that they can go back as see how to complete math activities if they forget the step in a math problem.

• Reading is Fun!

  I cannot express my thanks for supporting my project. The students have enjoyed reading all the multicultural stories on Reading A-Z. This is a great way to expose my students to all levels of reading. This program is differentiated for all learners in my classroom. It also provides assessments for me to use to assess my students' learning every week or month.

  This is a great resource for students to use in the classroom as well as remotely. We never know if we have to come back to remote learning due to COVID.

• Great Start for Our Students

  I cannot express my many thanks to everyone who provided funds for my project. The students have enjoyed having snacks to eat in between their classes and during class. The zip-lock bags are used to help store their daily materials for class. This is a way to help keep students safe during COVID. We also use the zip lock bags for projects throughout class time. The Post-it notes are used to remind students of assignments during class. The post-it is placed on their zip lock bags to be removed at the end of class.

• Fresh and Clean Environment

  I cannot express my many thanks to you for donating to my project. The students and teachers get to enter a class that is clean and fresh. My students would walk by my classroom and say how great the room smelled. Having the plug-ins made a big difference in how my room felt. Since we are dealing with COVID, I only let the students come to the door before we go outside or in the cafeteria for learning new skills.

• Extending Learning Using Project-Based Activities

  Thank you to everyone who supported my classroom project. I like to challenge all my gifted students using fun and engaging project-based activities. Having the subscription to the PBL Project site will help students be engaged and challenge their thinking. Students will have fun using the Escape Room activities, Deductive Reasoning lessons, and many more lessons.

• New Learning Time Part 2

  Thank you so much for the noise-canceling headphones for our classroom. Many students kept telling me that they could not hear me during class time online during our remote learning. Having the noise-canceling headphone has allowed me to hear clearly what each student is contributing to the activity during our class time.

  I appreciate you supporting our project. The headphones will continue being used during in-person learning.

• New Learning With New Technology Part 1

  Funded May 4, 2021

  Thanks for helping me increase students learning by providing them with up-to-date technology in our classroom. The iPad will continue Zooming with my students and giving them access to online tools with the device. Also, the iPad will be used for students to answer google docs surveys and hook up with our smartboard for engaging in online learning during COVID.

• Books That Looks Like Me!

  I cannot thank you enough for providing my students with a collection of diverse afro-centric books. My students do not have any books in our collections that represent them. The books will be read to the students as well as use them complete project-based learning activities. We will use the books to help us learn how to create our own books. Students now feel appreciated when they read and look at books that look like them.
