  • Technology for TK

    Funded Mar 9, 2016

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generous donation to my classroom. This laptop will will be a great asset to my students' academic success. With this laptop my students will be able to learn the computer foundational skills needed to succeed in school. My students are very excited about having a new computer. Most of my students do not have access to this kind of technology. Therefore, when they arrive in the classroom, they are already eagerly awaiting their chance to use the laptop. I have seen how fast these 5 year olds learn to manipulate the computer. At first, they needed a lot of guidance and support, but now they know how to turn it on, manipulate the mouse, and even open and close programs. It's amazing how much a child can do with new technology at their fingertips. Again, thank you so much for your donation.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Esparza

  • Let's Keep it Organized

    Funded Mar 9, 2016

    Dear donors,

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generous donation to my classroom. My students love all the materials you provided for them. The new bin storage unit is a wonderful organizer; my students have such ease finding and putting things away on their own. They love to manipulate with the play-dough; they really enjoy making new shapes with it. The fingerpaint is one of their favorite materials. These 5 year olds are so creative and artistic. They become so excited about expressing themselves through paintings. My students are so happy to come to school because we have the materials needed to make their learning so much more interesting and fun. Thank you for your support to education!”

  • Let The TK Sit Together

    Funded Mar 9, 2016

    Dear donors,

I am so very grateful for your generous donation. My students had been sitting on a 12 year old rug. When they saw the new carpet, they were so excited, some even started to roll on it and exclaim how it smelled so good. I am so happy that my students will have a new and clean rug to sit and learn on. The vacuum will also help keep the rug clean at all times. I won't have to wait for the custodial staff to clean the rug until the afternoon. I will now be able to keep it vacuumed all the time. Thank you so much.”

  • Transitional Kindergarten Tools to Succeed

    Funded Jan 8, 2015

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generosity. These instructional materials have made a great impact on my students learning experience. They love to play with everything without realizing that there is always a teaching purpose behind everything. They love reciting to the nursery rhymes that go with the puppets. They enjoy playing at the water table and putting the puzzles together. The books have become the most popular pieces in our library. The VCR is a great asset to our classroom. I can now show instructional videos that reinforce vocabulary and also allow the students to enjoy classic literature stories. The cart keeps the VCR in a safe place. I really appreciate your great support. Thanks to you, our classroom has become a wonderful learning place. THANK YOU!”

  • iPads for Transitional Students

    Funded Oct 2, 2014

My students and I want to thank you for the 3 iPads and protector cases you have provided to our classroom. When the resources came in and we opened them for the first time, my students were ecstatic to see what we had received. They were so happy and motivated by the new technology that they could hardly wait to finally use them. I bought a couple of instructional apps that are helping the children learn letters, sounds and numbers. As a teacher, I feel happy to see the students are learning and I feel at ease knowing that the iPads are always safe thanks to the protective cases. Thank you so much for bringing 21st century learning into my classroom.”

  • Transitional Kindergarten Essentials

    Funded Sep 15, 2014

On behalf of my students, I would like to thank you for the instructional materials you have provided to our class. The day the materials came into the classroom my students were so excited that I couldn't keep them quiet. As I was opening the boxes and putting things away they couldn't hold their excitement and kept asking me when could they play with them. On the following days and up to now I can see how happy they are using all the materials. The other materials such as the fingerpainting paint, glue, paper, and tape make the instruction much more pleasant and fun. My students have enriched their vocabulary thanks to the the sensory tubs and love to manipulate the different materials . The magnetic games have helped them practice and memorize their numbers and letters. It is amazing to see the excitement for learning. Thank you so much for making this possible.”

    With gratitude,

  • Transitional Kindergarten in Need of Learning Tools

    Funded Nov 6, 2013

I want to express the big gratitude I have for you. This project was only possible thanks to your great generosity. The alphabet folder games provide my students with games that reinforce their alphabet. They love to play with them. The print practice books are great dry erase boards that provide the students the extra practice they need without the waste of paper. They really enjoy using them. The lap tops are a great asset to my classroom. The lap tops are used during language arts and mathematics to reinforce skills learned. There are a lot of academic websites that provide students with the support they need. Students are always very excited to use them. I have created a system where every child gets to use the laptop at least once every other day. My young students can now use the software that reinforces the kindergarten curriculum. Thank you so very much from the bottom of my heart for your support to my classroom.”

Our school is located in a low economic area. 100% of the students are Title 1 and qualify for the Free Federal Breakfast and Lunch program. Most of my students come from families who do not speak English at all. My kindergarten students are enthusiastic about learning and always try their best. I have seen their language, social and academic skills grow everyday. They have shown me that they have the potential to exceed all expectations.
